The fallout from Joe Biden’s border crisis has come to every corner of the country.

Now it’s leading to growing tensions in one Republican-led state.

And South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been banned from part of her state over this shocking dispute.

The influence of Mexican drug cartels has spread throughout the United States under President Joe Biden.

Now, their drug-trafficking operation has set up shop in one of the most unlikely places.

Noem calls out cartel influence in South Dakota

Governor Kristi Noem, who is also reportedly one of the top candidates to be former President Donald Trump’s running mate, addressed the South Dakota Legislature in January about how the Biden border crisis was bringing crime and drugs to the state.

“Make no mistake, the cartels have a presence on several of South Dakota’s tribal reservations,” Noem said. “South Dakota is directly affected by this invasion. We are affected by cartel presence on our tribal reservations; by the spread of drugs and human trafficking throughout our communities; and by the drain on our resources at the local, state, and federal level.”

The state has nine Native American reservations, including one of the largest in the country, Pine Ridge.

Noem claimed that the cartels were enlisting Native Americans in their criminal enterprise.

“Murders are being committed by cartel members on the Pine Ridge reservation and in Rapid City, and a gang called the ‘Ghost Dancers’ are affiliated with these cartels,” Noem stated. “They have been successful in recruiting tribal members to join their criminal activity. On the other side of the state, there is documented evidence of cartel activities on the Sisseton Wahpeton reservation and others.”

Only the federal government has jurisdiction over tribal land. South Dakota is powerless to stop crime there, which makes it an attractive destination for the cartels.

But the Biden regime has refused to help the tribes, so they’ve been forced to sue for help.

A federal judge ordered the Biden regime to assist the Oglala Sioux Tribe, but the federal government failed to take action.

The Pine Ridge Reservation declared a state of emergency over rising crime.

Kristi Noem banned from Native American reservations

Noem has been banned from stepping foot in about 10% of her state under the control of Native American tribes.

The Standing Rock Sioux, Oglala Sioux Tribe, and the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe have all prohibited her from stepping foot on their territory.

She was banned for pointing out that cartels had infiltrated reservations.

“Governor Kristi Noem’s wild and irresponsible attempt to connect tribal leaders and parents with Mexican drug cartels is a sad reflection of her fear-based politics that do nothing to bring people together to solve problems,” Rock Sioux Tribal Council Chairwoman Janet Alkire said in a statement announcing the ban.

Noem spokeswoman Amelia Joy said that the ban did nothing to solve the problems facing the reservations.

Joe Biden’s border crisis has turned the entire county into a border state.
