Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have turned the British royal family into a bigger circus than it already was.
The Duke of Sussex particularly scandalized his family with his salacious “memoir.”
But Kate Middleton is setting the record straight about this ugly claim Prince Harry made against her.
Ever since his marriage to actress Meghan Markle, Prince Harry has taken an antagonistic posture against his British royal family.
Harry and Meghan accused at least one member of the family of supposed “racism” during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Royal dirt
In Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, he made many scurrilous claims, even against his own brother, William, the Prince of Wales.
He also took a veiled shot at his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, in the Netflix series Harry & Meghan.
Harry said, “I think for so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with. . .The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. And my mum certainly made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart. And I am my mother’s son.”
However, William and Kate have avoided much of the dispassion of inner political workings of the British royal family.
More than a “royal bride”
Australian Commentator Daniela Elser wrote that “there are other ways that Kate has, again and again, shrugged off any suggestion that she might neatly twist and contort herself to squeeze into a particular mold. For example, reportedly one of the reasons the family moved to Windsor’s Adelaide Cottage was so that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis would not grow up cosseted by the privilege and luxury of Kensington Palace and got used to having their fish fingers served via silver salver. Or the fact that Kate’s kids attend a co-ed day school.”
Kate has recently been at the center of controversy because of health concerns that had been kept under wraps.
Amid rampant speculation, she finally came forward and announced that she was battling cancer.
Elser added that “no other princess before has made a habit of quotidian things such as taking her children to shop at discount chain Homebase or packing them sandwiches in plastic lunch boxes to be eaten out of the boot of the car or having them, including a future king, help unpack Waitrose deliveries. My point is, Kate has charted her own course with increasing confidence and a refreshing lack of traceability.”
Kate Middleton’s actions have spoken louder than Harry’s words.
