Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are desperate to remain in the spotlight.

Their foray into Hollywood and mainstream entertainment has been a total failure.

And now Meghan Markle is ready to throw in the towel after her latest embarrassing bid for Hollywood relevancy crashed and burned.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are searching for a new way to keep themselves relevant apart from the British royal family.

And it appears that Meghan has now settled on making jam.

She is hyping up her new “lifestyle brand” by sending gift baskets to select celebrities who have large social media followings.

Jam plan

The New York Post reported that “Kris Jenner is just the latest famous face to receive a jar of Meghan Markle’s jam from her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The ‘Kardashians’ star shared a photo of her gift via social media on Wednesday, revealing that she was the 13th person out of 50 to receive it. ‘Thank you,’ Jenner, 68, simply wrote, tagging the new company. She also showed off a handwritten note with her name, which was written by the Duchess of Sussex. Markle, 42, previously worked as a calligrapher from 2004-2005, even writing the invitations for Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s wedding in 2005.”

Online commenters were not too keen on Markle’s latest venture.

“Must of [sic] been a late delivery… lemons look wilted?” one social media user wrote.

Another responded, “Good grief Kris Jenner is worth billions but could not afford some fresh lemons these look like she pulled them out of the garbage they look rotten.”

Another wrote, “Does Meghan truly expect Kris Jenner to be impressed by strawberry jam in a bowl of bruised lemons and shredded paper? This whole business venture is a lemon. Does anyone believe she’ll ever actually sell jam?”

One social media poster commented, “Sad that her friends have been reduced to the Kardashian/Jenner family. And of course, Kris has to let the world know she’s friends with Meg and Harry.”

Perhaps the harshest response read, “Kris Jenner got her money to promote Meghan Markle’s garbage… I’m sure she gave it away just as soon as it came.”

Royal unwelcome

Prince Harry and Meghan have not been building goodwill over the past few years.

Even Democrats’ media allies, who initially gave them fawning coverage, have grown weary.

The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, who also serves as a figurehead for Spotify’s podcast efforts, was not sad to see the Sussex Royals lose their podcast deal.

“I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation,” Simmons commented. “‘The F—ing Grifters.’ That’s the podcast we should’ve launched with them. I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories. F*** them. The grifters.”

Perhaps they will have better luck with Meghan’s “lifestyle brand.”
