We may be living in what will be one of the most turbulent years in American history.

A surprise catalyst could set everything in motion.

And Ron Paul delivered one dire warning about 2024 that left Tucker Carlson utterly flabbergasted.

Former Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) recently sat down for an interview on Tucker Carlson’s Tucker On X program.

He warned the public in his discussion with Carlson to be prepared in case of the worst.

Black swan event on the horizon

Paul said that a “black swan” event could very well “pop up” suddenly this year.

A “black swan” event is a rare and completely unpredictable event occurring that has a massive impact on life.

In 2020, the pandemic was a “black swan” event.

“I think we’re reaching this point where some sudden thing is going to happen,” Paul told Carlson. “I believe in that theory of the black swan. It’s going to pop up and it’s not going to be controllable.”

Other examples of a “black swan” event would be the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the 2008 financial meltdown, and Brexit.

“But people ask, what can they do? I think the most important thing is to understand what’s going on,” Paul continued. “It’s education. That’s why I happen to have a home-schooling program that tries to teach this stuff early.”

Paul – a three-time Presidential candidate on the Republican and Libertarian tickets – said that the public needs to understand what’s happening in the system.

“Really, the most important thing you do is study and understand what’s going on,” Paul said. Because if you come away from that and you’re able to accumulate a lot of… get by… you have your guns and stored food and all that. It’s not going to work. You have to understand what’s happening, you have to know what’s coming, it’s very, very dangerous, and that’s why I love to see smaller units of government.”

Paul wasn’t the only public figure to predict that a “black swan” event could happen this year.

National security reporter warns of black swan event

Last December, former CBS national security correspondent Catherine Herridge gave an ominous prediction about 2024 during a panel on Face the Nation.

“I just feel a lot of concern that 2024 may be the year of a black swan event. This is a national security event with high impact that’s very hard to predict,” Herridge said. “There are a number of concerns I have that factor into that. Not only this sort of enduring, heightened threat level that we’re facing — the wars in Israel, also Ukraine.”

She added that the country has never been more divided.

“Based on my reporting, we’re in this incredibly dynamic threat environment right now,” Herridge said.

The once-in-a-century COVID pandemic upended the 2020 election.

Now, if Ron Paul’s prediction holds true – which they typically do – 2024 could see a similar “black swan” event.
