Tensions are running high in the Democrat Party over the 2024 election.

A rift is growing between two major factions.

And Joe Biden blew a gasket when this secret report about Barack Obama leaked.

The contentious relationship between President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama is spilling out into the public.

They appear to have a good working relationship on the surface, with Obama serving as a campaign surrogate for Biden and helping raise money for his re-election campaign.

But behind closed doors, it’s a different story.

The Obama-Biden rivalry

Axios reported that Biden has had a long-standing “rivalry” with Obama.

“Obama would be jealous,” Biden reportedly tells White House staff about what he considers his political victories.

Despite sharing a ticket, there’s mutual animosity between both camps.

“Many longtime Biden aides have long felt that Obama and his team did not fully appreciate Biden’s experience with foreign policy, Congress, and grip-and-grin politicking — and were disrespectful,” Axios reported.

Obama’s team didn’t believe that Biden could be a successful President.

“The Obama people thought Biden would suck as President,” a former Biden aide said. “They didn’t think he’d be organized enough to execute.”

Some of the tension is over long-time Biden aides who were pushed aside for former Obama officials at roles in the regime.

“We do have too many Obama people who don’t care about Joe Biden. It’s about them,” a former White House official said.

This is creating tension between the two factions in the White House with the 2024 election looming.

Biden aides complain that the Obama team tries to compare every situation to what the former President faced.

“When people say, ‘This is what worked for Obama,’ their first response is often, ‘We’re not Obama,’” a senior Democrat official said.

The roots of Biden’s rage could be 2016

Normally, Biden would have been the front-runner for the 2016 Democrat Presidential nomination after serving as Obama’s Vice President.

He weighed running that election cycle but decided against it after Obama backed his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, despite their intense rivalry in the 2008 Democrat Presidential Primary.

Biden told Special Counsel Robert Hur during their interview last October in the classified documents investigation that Obama told him he didn’t think he could win.

“A lot of people . . . were encouraging me to run in this period, except the President,” Biden told Hur. “He just thought that [Clinton] had a better shot of winning the Presidency than I did.”

Biden has told Democrats privately that he believes he would have beaten former President Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

Democrats need a united front to win in November, and the tension between the biggest names in the party is boiling over into the public.
