New York City is hostile territory for anyone who hasn’t pledged their undying loyalty to woke extremism.

That doesn’t stop some freedom-loving Americans from voicing their opinions.

And the shocking reason these New Yorkers booed a NYC official during the city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will put a smile on your face.

Members of The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) were in hot water for booing New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) at a ceremony in Brooklyn.

James was fresh off of winning her frivolous civil lawsuit against former President Donald Trump when she attended an FDNY swearing-in ceremony at a Christian center.

She was mercilessly booed when she came up to the stage to speak to the crowd of firefighters, as well as their friends and family, as everyone there could see that her appearance was politically motivated – neither James nor her state-level office had anything to do the city’s firefighters.

“Oh, c’mon, we’re in a house of God,” an enraged James said. “Simmer down. Thank you for getting it out of your system.”

She was hit with chants of “Trump!” later in her speech, which she responded to by telling the firefighters she would pray for them.

Witch hunt for New York firefighters

Publicly embarrassing one of New York’s most powerful Democrats had FDNY “leadership” – who colluded with James on the politically-motivated appearance – looking to punish the firefighters for exercising their free speech rights.

FDNY Chief John Hodgens sent an email to department heads vowing to “hunt” down the firefighters who booed James.

“BITS (Bureau of Investigation and Trials) is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodgens wrote in the email. “I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the Commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward, and we don’t have to hunt them down.”

The FDNY claimed it was going to review the videotape of the event to determine the identities of the firefighters who booed.

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh gave the order to “hunt down” firefighters.

After the New York Post revealed the internal email, the story went national and prompted outrage at the treatment of the pro-Trump firefighters.

The FDNY began to back off, claiming it was hunting people down.

Hodgens said that “hunt’” was “a poor choice of words.”

“It was not meant to be taken literally and was never uttered by anyone on the executive staff,” Hodges wrote in an email to battalion chiefs. “Specifically, there was not, and is not, an investigation into members booing.”

FDNY Commissioner booed at St. Patrick’s Day parade

Not everyone was ready to forgive and forget after the FDNY threatened to drop the hammer on pro-Trump firefighters.

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh marched by Trump Tower during the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

A group gathered outside the building booed and jeered while she walked by.

“You suck,” a person yelled at her.

“Firefighters are the hunters,” another person yelled.

A person had a poster with Kavanaugh’s face plastered on the body of a donkey.

“Pin the tail on the jacka**,” the person shouted.

Firefighters marching in the parade were greeted with chants of “Trump!”

Kavanaugh got a richly deserved welcome outside Trump Tower for trying to hunt down pro-Trump firefighters.
