Joe Biden wants to run for re-election.
It is becoming clearer by the day that Democrats do not want him to be their candidate in 2024.
Now a top Democrat just flipped and Joe Biden was destroyed after this key ally abandoned him.
Comedy Central and radio host Charlamagne Tha God is one of the most influential voices on the Left.
And even Charlamagne is not thrilled about the prospect of the increasingly unpopular President Joe Biden running for re-election in 2024.
Charlamagne pointed to polls showing a toss up race between Biden and former President Donald Trump, and admitted it was “sad” that Biden would enter the race in such a vulnerable position.
“I think [a rematch] can go either way,” Charlamagne said in an interview with Fox News. “Like, I don’t think it’s a sure thing, which is sad, right?… It’s sad that we’re saying it’s still a toss-up between [Trump] and President Biden.”
Charlamagne added that Democrats may have to roll the dice and stick with Joe Biden because the Party lacks a bench of viable candidates.
“I think that’s more indicative of what, you know, Democrats aren’t doing,” Charlamagne continued. “And for me, I just don’t see the bench that the Democrats have. I personally don’t see the person that they could put up in 2024 that could really galvanize and energize people. I mean, the fact that Biden is still their safest bet – ugh. I think that’s sad too.”
When Fox News asked about Vice President Kamala Harris matching up with Trump, Charlamagne dismissed the idea out of hand saying Harris had no chance to defeat either the former President or Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Charlamagne admitted that it would take a miracle pivot for the wildly unpopular and unlikeable Harris to recover her political standing.
“No, I don’t think the Vice President stands a chance against Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis unless something magically changes over the next two years, and she pivots greatly, you know, but based on what we’ve seen so far, no,” Charlamagne stated.
Charlamagne spoke to a concern that many Democrats have expressed privately, but are too afraid to air publicly.
And that is the fact that many of them recognize that Joe Biden is old and senile, making it legitimately dangerous to the United States for him to attempt to serve as President until he is 86 years old.
But these same Democrats recognize that they have no choice because Kamala Harris is a disaster waiting to happen.
