Since last year, Rush Limbaugh has been battling for his life.
Listeners have been keeping their eyes peeled for updates along the way.
Now Rush Limbaugh has made a tearful plea regarding his health that left his fans on the edges of their seats.
Limbaugh’s last on-air appearance was February 2.
Ever since he was diagnosed with cancer, the popular radio host has taken one week off a month for his treatments.
In February, he left audiences wondering as he missed two full weeks and had guest hosts fill in for him.
Bo Snerdley, Limbaugh’s producer, has kept fans updated via social media.
Snerdley solemnly informed Rush’s audience that Rush was presently fighting for his life and that his cancer was not in remission.
“Our prayers are with Rush as he continues to fight the illness he has been afflicted with,” Snerdley posted to Twitter. “We are still praying for a remission . . . Thanks for all your prayers, kind words and wishes for our Rush.”
Just before Christmas, Limbaugh shared how serious his cancer was. This was the first time he shared these details.
Limbaugh shared that he was not given very long to live when his doctors officially diagnosed him with stage four lung cancer. He was given mere months to survive.
“Well, back in late January when I received this diagnosis – and I was shocked. I was stunned, and I was in denial for about a week. I mean, I’m Rush Limbaugh. I’m Mister Big of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy. I mean, I’m indestructible. I said, ‘This can’t be right,’ but it was. What I didn’t know at the time that I learned later in the course of the year was that I wasn’t expected to be alive today,” Limbaugh shared.
Rush has defied those negative predictions.
Millions of Limbaugh’s fans are cheering him on in continued hopes that he will beat the odds.
