Alejandro Mayorkas is awaiting a trial in the Senate after being impeached.

Senate Democrats want to make sure it never happens.

And John Kennedy put Chuck Schumer on notice over this dirty trick to save Alejandro Mayorkas.

Biden Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas became the first cabinet-level official in any Presidential administration to be impeached in nearly 150 years due to his role in creating the historic Biden border crisis.

After being impeached in the House, he faces a trial in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) wants to avoid a full and fair trial for Mayorkas.

Senate Democrats and RINOs like Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) are working to make sure he’s not held accountable.

John Kennedy calls for Mayorkas impeachment trial

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) told his colleagues that the Senate couldn’t ignore the House by dismissing impeachment charges against Mayorkas.

“The United States Senate cannot and should not turn a deaf ear to the democratically elected members of the House of Representatives by dismissing their charges against Secretary Mayorkas without a full and fair trial,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy told the Senate that they needed to do their jobs and hold a trial.

“Precedent demands a trial. Respect for the House of Representatives demands a trial. Respect for the law demands a trial. The American people demand a trial and they deserve it. The United States Senate should do its job,” Kennedy added.

Senate trial in question for Mayorkas

Schumer hasn’t tipped his hand yet as to what he’s planning for the Mayorkas trial.

If he can get 51 votes, he can table the two charges against Mayorkas or dismiss the trial altogether.

Of course, Senate RINOs aren’t eager to move forward with the trial because they claim that holding unelected bureaucrats accountable for violating the Constitution and causing untold destruction to the nation – not to mention the deaths of countless Americans and illegal aliens – is a waste of their time.

Establishment Senator Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) claimed that “there’s a lot of time that goes into a thoughtful impeachment process, and a couple of hearings in a month, or month and a half doesn’t seem like it fits that bill.”

Senate Republicans have no chance of getting the two-thirds majority needed for a conviction.

But the trial itself would do massive political damage to President Joe Biden in the middle of an election year.

A recent Gallup poll found that immigration has become the top issue for voters.

And the trial would be a chance for the House Republican impeachment managers to highlight the Biden regime’s failure at securing the border, keeping the Biden regime’s failures at the border in headlines for weeks.

The Senate holding a full and fair trial for Alejandro Mayorkas would be a nightmare for Joe Biden.
