Bad news continues to roll in for Joe Biden.
Biden thought this scandal was in the rearview mirror.
But now Joe Biden is in deep trouble after this key ally just flipped on him.
The Deep State helped rig the 2020 election by providing cover for Twitter and Facebook to censor The New York Post’s reporting on the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Part of that operation involved a letter signed by 51 Deep State operatives which falsely claimed the emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop were “Russian disinformation.”
Now former Defense Intelligence Agency deputy director Doug Wise admitted that he and the other letter signers knew the laptop was real all along.
“Douglas Wise, a former Defense Intelligence Agency deputy director, was one of 51 erstwhile intelligence brass who issued the public letter on Oct. 19, 2020 — five days after The Post began a series of reports on the now-first son’s shady overseas business dealings,” The New York Post reported. “‘All of us figured that a significant portion of that content had to be real to make any Russian disinformation credible,’ said Wise — who didn’t respond when The Post reached out for an explanation in March of last year, but found his tongue when he spoke to The Australian.”
“The Oct. 19 letter — whose signatories included former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, former Director of National intelligence James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan — went out of its way to cast doubt on the legitimacy of The Post’s scoop, devoting five paragraphs to explaining “factors that make us suspicious of Russian involvement” while slipping in the caveat that “we do not know if the emails … are genuine or not and … we do not have evidence of Russian involvement,” the report continued.
Wise tried to defend the letter by claiming the signatories never discounted the possibility that the laptop was real.
“The letter said it had the earmarks of Russian deceit and we should consider that as a possibility,” Wise told The Australian. “It did not say Hunter Biden was a good guy, it didn’t say what he did was right and it wasn’t exculpatory, it was just a cautionary letter.”
That was not true.
The letter explained the signatories said it was “our view that the Russians are involved in the Hunter Biden email issue,” adding that “it is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy.”
A Media Research Center poll taken after the election found that one in six Biden voters would have voted differently if they knew about the scandal.
The Deep State – as well as the Biden campaign and corporate -controlled media – all knew the Hunter Biden laptop story was real from the get-go.
But they placed a higher priority on defeating Donald Trump than the truth.
