Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies in Democrat-controlled states and cities have turned most of America’s biggest cities into a haven for criminals and thieves.
But Democrats continue to attack police officers instead of cracking down on criminals.
And this San Francisco criminal just gave Adam Schiff a painful dose of his own woke medicine.
Crime has become a major problem in virtually every Democrat-controlled city in America.
For years, George Soros-funded, Democrat prosecutors have enacted pro-crime policies, like cashless bail, that allow criminals back on the streets within hours of their arrest.
And after the death of George Floyd in 2020, Democrats waged a war on law enforcement and called for “defunding the police,” even pushing to shut down entire police departments.
Democrat-controlled Los Angeles and San Francisco are two of the worst cities in the country for crime.
In 2014, California passed Proposition 14, which allowed criminals to steal up to $900 worth of merchandise and only face a misdemeanor with no jail time.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who is also now a U.S. Senate candidate, is one of the Left’s champions of so-called “criminal justice reform.”
Schiff was an original co-sponsor of the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act that passed the House in March of 2021.
According to Schiff’s own website, “This bill is a comprehensive approach toward reimagining policing in this country by increasing accountability, restricting the use of certain policing practices, enhancing transparency, and establishing new training requirements and best practices. It also places new limits on qualified immunity as a defense to liability in private civil actions against officers and creates a national registry where data on complaints and records of misconduct will be compiled.”
Schiff is also anti-Second Amendment and supports rendering working-class Americans defenseless by unconstitutionally banning most firearms.
Of course, these Democrat politicians travel around with armed security and live in neighborhoods that are gated off from the rest of the public.
This allows them to support pro-crime policies without ever having to worry about criminals.
But on Thursday, Schiff got a dose of his own woke medicine when a criminal in San Francisco broke into his car and stole his luggage.
“The vehicle was reportedly parked in a downtown San Francisco parking garage for several days while Rep. Schiff visited the area on campaign business,” NBC15 reported. “The Golden State representative currently has his sights set on the Senate vacancy left by the late Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif.”
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, that forced Schiff to attend an event in “his shirt sleeves and a hiking vest while everyone else sat in suits.”
Schiff is not the only California Democrat to get a dose of woke, pro-crime medicine.
A few days before the incident with Schiff, Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass’ home was broken into after a criminal smashed a window of her home while it was occupied.
Democrats have spent the past several years coddling criminals and treating them with kid gloves.
And they are finally starting to live under the very lawlessness that they allowed to flourish.
