Democrats and their media allies are doing everything they can to convince the American people that electric vehicles are somehow superior to their gasoline-powered counterparts.

But there’s an ugly secret left-wing environmental extremists don’t want the American people to know.

Now Joe Biden is panicking after this massive deception about electric vehicles was exposed.

The Biden regime’s electric vehicle lies keep getting exposed

High gas prices have been one of the painful byproducts of President Joe Biden’s war on the American oil and gas industry and domestic energy production in general.

Democrats continue to follow former Obama advisor and Chicago Democrat Mayor Rham Emanuel’s strategy to “never let a serious crisis go to waste.”

The Biden regime has pitched electric vehicles (EVs) as the solution to sky-high gas prices.

In 2021, Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg boasted on MSNBC that by switching to an EV, “families who own that vehicle will never have to worry about gas prices again.”

He continued to use this line in July 2022 when gas prices soared to record highs thanks to Biden’s policies.

“The more pain we are all experiencing from the high price of gas, the more benefit there is for those who can access electric vehicles,” Buttigieg said.

Biden Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm made the same point in June 2022.

“You filled up your EV by charging and you filled up your gas tank with gasoline and you have the same size tank, you would save $60 per fill-up by going electric rather than using gasoline,” Granholm claimed.

One of the consistent narratives pushed by the Biden regime and their environmental extremist allies is that EVs will offer big savings for working-class Americans who own them by ending their dependence on gasoline.

But this is another bogus talking point to try and fool the American people.

Electric vehicles cost more to drive than their gasoline-powered counterparts

iSeeCars conducted a study to determine the cost of driving various vehicle types for just 1,000 miles.

The study put electric vehicles, hybrids, plug-hybrids, and gas cars to the test.

EVs had the highest operating cost at $5,108 over 1,000 miles, followed by plug-in hybrids at $4,351.

Gasoline-powered vehicles were third at $3,123, and hybrids were slightly cheaper to operate at $3,056 per 1,000 miles.

Democrats want the public to believe that they’ll save money making the switch, but that isn’t true.

If EVs were the fix-all Democrats claim, they wouldn’t have to implement mandates to force working-class Americans to buy them.

Another study from the Anderson Economic Group found that the cost of electricity to charge an EV was more than filling up with gasoline.

“With electricity prices trending up and gas prices going down, most traditional gas-powered vehicles cost less to drive than their EV counterparts,” the Anderson Economic Group wrote.

In the entry-level segment, a Honda Civic requires about $9.78 worth of gas to drive 100 miles.

A comparable electric vehicle would require $12.55 worth of electricity if it were charged at home per 100 miles and $15.97 at a public charging station.

The study found that gasoline-powered cars beat EVs in every segment except high-end luxury vehicles.

Needless to say, Democrats are attempting to scam the American people with their electric vehicle lies.
