Democrat-controlled cities and states are descending into chaos.

Their woke agenda is clearly not working as they claimed.

And the reason this unhinged Democrat is threatening Memphis residents will render you at a loss for words.

Tennessee is solidly a Republican-led state, but the city of Memphis has served as yet another Democrat-controlled hellscape for a long time.

After Tyre Nichols was killed by Memphis police officers – in a brutal attack that may have been for personal reasons – the Democrat-controlled city government implemented pro-crime policies that made the city even less safe.

Democrats more concerned with criminals

But Republicans at the state level passed a bill that stopped local governments from blocking routine police work.

For example, Memphis Democrats cannot prohibit police officers from making traffic stops, as Democrat politicians have done in other cities they control.

After the commonsense bill was passed, State Senator Charlane Oliver (D-Nashville) went ballistic.

She threatened that riots would ensue as a result of the law.

“So yeah, we’re gonna fight,” Oliver said. “Dr. King said the riots are the language of the unheard. You ain’t seen nothing yet. If you keep silencing us like this, what do you think our districts’ gonna do? Gloves off. Like, we’re gonna fight like hell. You don’t expect us to respond when you gaslight us every single day with these bills?”

Oliver went on to call the piece of legislation a “Jim Crow bill,” and called Republicans “confederates.”

In response to Oliver’s outburst, Republican state Senator Brent Taylor wrote on Twitter, “Despite your overwhelming support for my bill that prohibits local governments from banning legal routine traffic stops, leftist opposition has been insane and totally out of touch with reality and our community’s demands.”

Overblown rhetoric

Oliver was not the only Democrat to go berserk.

At the same press conference, state Senator London Lamar accused her Republican counterparts of enacting “a form of slavery.”

“I feel like a slave sometimes in this building,” Lamar ranted. “I am tired of [sic] Republican Party expecting us as minorities to do what they want to do but treat us disrespectfully. Nah, we’re not doing that no more.”

“We’re at the time of the session where [sic] gloves off,” she added.

Whenever Democrats don’t get their way, they engage in the most outrageous form of political melodrama.

Allowing police officers to enforce the law is now considered “a form of slavery,” despite poll after poll showing that an overwhelming majority of Americans want more engagement from the police, not less.

But Democrat politicians would rather pose and posture for the woke outrage mob and Democrats’ media allies who promote pro-crime policies.
