House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) appeared on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures and dropped a bombshell to host Maria Bartiromo.
Criminal referrals coming in Biden investigation
Hunter Biden claimed that he wanted to testify in public before the House Oversight Committee, but his lawyer announced he wouldn’t show up for scheduled public testimony, citing a separate court hearing in California.
“If he does not show up, then it’s not going to end well for the Bidens because we have three witnesses that… have already testified under oath to significantly different stories as to what exactly the Biden influence peddling schemes were,” Comer said.
The Democrat President’s son wanted to testify in public for months but changed his tune after three of his former business partners – Devon Archer, Jason Galanis, and Tony Bobulinski – testified before the Committee.
Comer said that Hunter’s business associates’ testimony contradicted parts of closed-door testimony that he had previously given to the Committee.
“This is very serious because we’re at the point now of criminal referrals,” Comer explained.
Bartiromo asked how many criminal referrals could be on the table, and the Kentucky lawmaker said “multiple” but didn’t specify the targets.
Investigation making progress into the Bidens’ web of lies
Comer said that while the Committee’s investigation has run into “massive obstruction” from the Bidens and their legal team, they have been “able to get probably 80% of the information that we have requested.”
He explained that the evidence indicates that the Biden family utilized a maze of shell companies to hide money that was flowing in from overseas while Joe Biden was Vice President.
“We have accumulated lots of evidence of wrongdoing, from the 170 suspicious activity reports to the multiple shell companies that were used to launder the money and then send the ten different Biden family members incremental payments, all the payments from Romania, from Kazakhstan, from Ukraine, from Russia that were sent to the Bidens during — most of which was — happened during Joe Biden’s tenure as Vice President of the United States,” Comer said.
The Bidens were given a chance to explain what they were doing with their shady foreign business deals, but Comer said he couldn’t find a single one of their ventures that was legitimate, leaving influence peddling as the only explanation.
“So we’re at the point of holding people accountable for criminal wrongdoing,” Comer said. “And I think we have already demonstrated several instances of criminal mischief by multiple members of the Biden family.”
A day of reckoning is on the horizon for the Biden family over their massive influence-peddling operation.
