Attorney General Merrick Garland is Joe Biden’s wing man.
He’s trying to keep a lid on a major scandal that could cost his boss big time.
And now, Merrick Garland is panicking after this attempt to run cover for Hunter Biden was exposed.
Hunter Biden has been under investigation by the Justice Department since 2018 for tax crimes related to his shady foreign business deals.
An IRS whistleblower came forward to Congress to expose political interference with the agency’s investigation into President Joe Biden’s son.
The whistleblower made the explosive claim that the Biden regime was meddling with the Hunter Biden investigation, which he was working on in his capacity as an IRS employee.
Now, the IRS is stepping up its protection of the President’s son by purging the “entire investigative team” working Hunter Biden’s tax probe, according to the whistleblower.
Attorneys for the whistleblower sent a letter to Congress alleging that the shocking move was made on orders from the Biden Justice Department.
“Today the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent was informed that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress,” the whistleblower’s attorneys, Mark Lytle and Tristan Leavitt, wrote. “He was informed the change was at the request of the Department of Justice.”
The IRS whistleblower hasn’t publicly identified who the “high-profile subject” he was investigating was, but Congressional sources have confirmed that it was, in fact, Hunter Biden.
The attorneys pointed out that the move flies in the face of testimony IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel gave to the House Ways and Means Committee last month, in which he claimed that whistleblowers would face no retaliation.
Removing the IRS investigative team is clearly a retaliatory measure, and could potentially be obstruction of a Congressional inquiry, according to the attorneys.
They noted that the IRS whistleblower is legally protected under federal law from “retaliatory personnel actions — including receiving a ‘significant change in duties, responsibilities, or working conditions’ (which this clearly is) because of his disclosures to Congress.”
“We respectfully request that you give this matter your prompt attention,” the whistleblower’s legal team added. “Removing the experienced investigators who have worked this case for years and are now the subject-matter experts is exactly the sort of issue our client intended to blow the whistle on to begin with.”

Hunter Biden has been under investigation for years, but the Biden Justice Department hasn’t moved forward with charges.
Last year, The Washington Post reported that investigators in the case thought they had enough evidence for months to move forward with charges against Hunter for tax evasion and lying on federal firearms form – a report several other outlets have since published in subsequent months, as if it were new information, in what appears to some to be a propaganda effort to stretch out the process in the hopes Americans lose interest.
The Justice Department is working overtime to spike the investigation into Hunter Biden to protect the President as he faces re-election.
