Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made themselves an endless topic of discussion.
They’re beginning to dislike how they’re being portrayed.
And Meghan freaked out when she discovered one truth about Harry.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become obnoxious “woke” ambassadors.
They have jumped into pushing every left-wing cause du jour with both feet.
But according to friends of Harry, he was not always that way.
In a new biography entitled Gilded Youth, Royal Family author Tom Quinn suggests that the late Princess Diana’s youngest son hated “wokeness” before his relationship with the Hollywood actress.
The book quoted one of Harry’s former classmates at the famous U.K. boarding school Eton, who said, “Harry hated all that politically correct stuff — all that woke nonsense. He was funny, a bit cynical and great company because like the rest of us he made jokes that we are no longer allowed to make.”
If the political correctness movement of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s was bad, wokeness is the mutated strain that’s much more virulent and transmissible.
“After Meghan came along, he changed completely into what he would once have been the first to mock: a sort of a Guardian-reading tree hugger,” Harry’s former classmate said. “It was all Meghan’s influence. We used to joke that she must be very good in bed to have turned his head that far.”
The book also spoke with former aides at Kensington Palace who echoed similar sentiments.
“They feel it’s the two of them against a cruel world and that their battle isn’t just for them — it’s for everyone who has been badly treated by the press,” a former aide said. “They can’t do anything without feeling it has global significance. Harry was never like this before he met Meghan. He had no ideas of his own.”
That description dovetailed with Meghan showing up at events to which she had no connection, such as the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
“He rarely, if ever, spoke about global warming,” the former palace aide continued. “He was a sort of Tim-Nice-but-Dim character who liked getting pissed (drunk) with his army and Eton friends, did a bit of shooting and fishing, and was otherwise undistinguished.”
Years earlier, Meghan’s estranged half-sister, Samantha, warned that her sister had narcissistic and manipulative tendencies.
“I definitely see a narcissistic personality disorder,” Samantha said of her famous sister. “I’m not diagnosing her. She needs to see a counselor.”
“I feel sorry for Harry,” she added. “She pulled him away from his family, all of his friends, the life that he knew. He reminds me of one of those kidnap victims who eventually starts to believe that their life was so horrible and they’re in love with their captor.”
If the accounts detailed in Gilded Youth are correct, Prince Harry has been turned into a radical left-wing Stepford Husband.
