John Fetterman has spent two years making his own party miserable and Democrats have no idea what he does next.
Republicans smell blood and John Thune just made his move.

Fetterman Responds to Republicans After Party Switch Pressure Hits a New High
Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman appeared on Meet the Press NOW and made one thing clear: he is not becoming a Republican.
"I'm not going to be a Republican, and I would just remind anybody that I've been very clear on that," Fetterman told host Monica Alba.
He listed the reasons he does not fit inside the GOP tent – pro-choice, pro-gay, pro-transgender policy, pro-federal union – and he knows his own caucus well enough to know it.
But Fetterman's closing line was aimed squarely at his own party, not Thune's.
"I am a Democrat, and if someone is frustrated in the Democratic Party, I would be frustrated with someone like Bernie Sanders."
The problem in the Democrat Party has a name, and it’s the growing socialist insurgency.
Over 100 House Democrats Just Voted to Cut Israel Aid and Fetterman Drew His Red Line
Over 100 House Democrats voted last month for a measure that would have ended all U.S. aid to Israel.
One hundred and three, to be exact.
"The Democratic Party are increasingly voting not to support the only Democratic state in the entire region," Fetterman told Jewish Insider.
He set his red line in public two weeks ago at the Hill Nation Summit in Washington.
"If our party ever becomes – and just makes it official – the anti-Israel party, that's when I would leave, because that's been a moral clarity for me," Fetterman said.
Senate Majority Leader Thune Says Republicans Would Welcome Fetterman Into the GOP
One week after Fetterman drew his red line, Senate Majority Leader John Thune went on Fox News and rolled out the welcome mat.
"Yes, we would welcome him," Thune said.
He confirmed that multiple Republican senators have already had direct conversations with Fetterman about his deteriorating relationship with the Democrat caucus.
"There are many of us who I think would welcome the opportunity to have him join the Republican conference," Thune said.
Fox News's Bill Hemmer laid out the stakes.
"If John Fetterman were to leave the Democratic Party and become an Independent, he would be the most powerful politician in America because of his singular vote," Hemmer said.
Democrats need to flip four Senate seats to reclaim the majority in November.
"If we flip those four seats, then I would be 51 – and watch what I do," Fetterman said at the Hill Nation Summit.
Fetterman Approval Collapses Among Democrats as Party Switch Speculation Grows
Fetterman's approval rating among Pennsylvania Democrats sits at 19 percent.
He has watched radical Left challengers beat establishment Democrats in primaries across New York and Colorado on explicitly anti-Israel platforms.
His former chief of staff publicly predicted Fetterman would flip parties if doing so gave him maximum political leverage.
And yet Fetterman keeps showing up, keeps voting with Democrats 93 percent of the time on everything except the issues where his party has lost its mind.
That is not the behavior of a man who wants to leave.
That is the behavior of a man trying to pull a party back from a cliff edge while the rest of the caucus pushes harder toward it.
How the Democrat Party Drove Its Own Senator to the Breaking Point
The radical Left wing of the Democrat Party did not drift leftward overnight.
It has been running the table in primaries for three election cycles, elevating candidates who describe Israel as an apartheid state, call for defunding police, and demand open borders as a matter of policy.
Fetterman called the people winning those primaries "not Democrats" – and the left-wing media spent a week trying to destroy him for it.
His own colleagues refused to defend him publicly, with one telling NOTUS only that Fetterman's moves were causing "anxiety."
The voters who put him in the Senate in 2022 – the ones who made the current Democrat math possible – are watching a party that has no use for anyone who still supports Israel.
Fetterman is not the one who changed. The Democrat Party left him behind, and now it is paying the price for it.
