The biggest mistake former President Donald Trump made during his one-term Presidency was his decision to hire known establishment RINOs and Deep State operatives deeply engrained within the Washington, D.C. “Swamp” for positions throughout his administration.
Vice President Mike Pence, former Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Trump CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Trump Transportation Secretary – and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (RINO-KY) wife – Elaine Chao, former Trump Attorney General Jeff Sessions, former Trump Homeland Security Secretary and Chief of Staff John Kelly, and former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton, amongst many, many others.
Additionally, former Trump Attorney General William Barr is another deeply entrenched establishment RINO the former President should have known not to hire as he previously served as former CIA Director and RINO President George H.W. Bush’s Attorney General before spending the next 30 years pushing to grow the federal government’s power over working-class Americans.
Like the rest of the ruling class elites, Barr talked a good game to ingratiate himself to Trump and pretended as though he was on his side upon being appointed Attorney General.
He publicly discussed how the Deep State illegally spied on Trump’s 2016 campaign and called Democrats’ “Russian-collusion” hoax the farce that it was.
But to the surprise of no one who’d paid attention, Barr soon turned on Trump and became a major problem not only for his administration but the nation as a whole.
He allowed FBI Director James Comey to get away with essentially plotting and executing a coup to overthrow Trump’s Presidency by advancing Democrats’ “Russian-collusion” hoax.
And he allowed the FBI and DOJ to cover up Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell” for years.
As he’s running for re-election, Trump has admitted to making big mistakes with his past hiring decisions and claims he won’t make the same mistakes again.
He previously told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that if he could do his term in office over again, he “wouldn’t have put a guy like Bill Barr” in the position he did because “he was weak and pathetic.”
But despite the former President specifically saying he wouldn’t nominate Barr for another position within a possible second Trump administration, the former Trump Attorney General effectively endorsed him during a recent appearance on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom.
“I will vote the Republican ticket,” Barr claimed.
And Trump responded to Barr’s endorsement with a level of humor no other politician can replicate.
“Wow!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him ‘Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy’ (New York Post!).”
“Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word ‘Lethargic’ from my statement,” he continued. “Thank you Bill. MAGA2024!”
Trump is currently facing an unprecedented legal onslaught from Democrats as Biden’s allies hit him with 91 criminal charges across four politically-motivated witch hunts.
While Biden is out campaigning, Trump is stuck in a New York courtroom.
But despite all that, the former President refuses to let Biden and his cronies keep him down.
