Donald Trump just learned this surprising news about Ron DeSantis that may change everything

Donald Trump is still the leader of the Republican Party.

And it is only a matter of when – not if – Donald Trump announces his re-election campaign.

But Donald Trump just learned this surprising news about Ron DeSantis that may change everything.

Former President Donald Trump is still the most popular Republican in the country today.

However, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is quickly gaining ground on that front, as new polling data suggests DeSantis is emerging as the top alternative to President Trump in 2024.

Two polls out of key primary states show the 2024 Presidential race will be a very close two-man race between Trump and DeSantis, if the Governor decides to run for President.

In Michigan, DeSantis is within the margin of error in a head-to-head matchup with Trump.

And a poll out of Florida shows Governor DeSantis leading Trump, 61% to 39%.

Last month, another poll also showed that DeSantis led Trump, 39% to 37%, in New Hampshire, the state that hosts the nation’s first Presidential primary every four years.

To be sure, national polls of Republican voters still show Donald Trump holding a commanding lead to ultimately be the Party’s nominee.

And President Trump is still the most popular Republican in the country.

But Governor Ron DeSantis is certainly gaining ground with conservative voters as the next generation fighter for the America First movement.

After all, DeSantis was the Republican Governor who led the fight against lockdowns, mask mandates, school closures, and forced vaccination.

And when the Walt Disney Company tried to sink a bill banning teachers from grooming young students with transgenderism, DeSantis signed legislation stripping Disney of its special tax privileges that showed Republicans how to push back against woke mega corporations.

Donald Trump will undoubtedly enter the 2024 race as the favorite to win the nomination.

But the polling shows that if Ron DeSantis does enter the race – which increasingly looks like the likely outcome – it will be a competitive fight for the Republican nomination.
