Ben Carson Quoted Lenin to Describe What Is Happening in American Classrooms

The Left spent decades taking over the government school system.

Now, only 13 percent of eighth graders can pass a basic American history test.

And Ben Carson issued a dire warning to everyone concerned about happening to the next generation.

American History Test Scores Show What Public School Indoctrination Actually Looks Like

Forty percent of American eighth graders score below basic on the national history exam – meaning nearly half cannot identify the foundational events, structures, or principles that built this country.

This didn't happen by accident.

Dr. Ben Carson told Newsmax's Greta Van Susteren exactly what is driving it.

"They're being taught that America is an evil place," Carson said. "They don't go away with a good, warm feeling. And those are not people who are going to become patriotic Americans."

Carson isn't describing a few rogue teachers in blue cities.

He's describing a decades-long campaign to replace honest American history with a curriculum built around shame – one that dwells on every failure while burying the greatest story of human freedom ever told.

This has dire consequences for the future when these students become adults.

Ben Carson Traced the Left-Wing Takeover of Government Schools Back Decades

Carson didn't mince words about where this leads.

He invoked a warning he attributed to Vladimir Lenin – the father of Soviet communism – who said: "Give me your children to teach for four years, and the seeds that I sow will never be uprooted."

The Left figured this out decades ago.

They planted themselves in teachers colleges, curriculum boards, and library systems – not randomly, but because they understood something too many conservatives refused to accept: whoever controls what children learn controls the country.

Carson's message is Reagan's message – delivered with the urgency it deserves.

Ronald Reagan said freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

He wasn't being poetic, he was being precise.

The Patriotic Education the Left Has Spent Fifty Years Trying to Kill

Carson made clear he isn't calling for a whitewash.

"I'm not talking about whitewashing anything," he told Newsmax. "We need to teach our children the good, the bad, and the ugly."

Then he said the part the Left can't stand.

"There's a heck of a lot more good than there is bad and ugly."

That's the truth they're hiding from American children.

This nation abolished slavery, liberated Europe twice, and put a man on the moon.

American technology lifted billions out of poverty worldwide.

The Declaration of Independence made a claim no government in history had ever dared to make: that rights come from the Creator, not from kings or bureaucrats.

"That was a radical departure from any other governance structure that ever existed," Carson said. "What happened? We rose from obscurity to the pinnacle of the world, in rapid succession."

How to Fight Back Against Public School Indoctrination Before It Is Too Late

Carson served as Vice Chair of Trump's Religious Liberty Commission, which delivered its final 224-page report to President Trump in the Oval Office after seven hearings and hundreds of witnesses.

A North Carolina valedictorian who had the name of Jesus crossed out of his graduation speech by school administrators, a student punished for praying at lunch, a girl barred from singing a Christian song at a school talent show.

Carson's call to action is direct.

"We can't just sit back and complain about it," he told Newsmax. "We have to get in there and join the fight."

That means school board meetings, curriculum reviews, and knowing what teachers are actually putting in front of them every day.

The Left spent a generation winning this fight while conservatives complained about it from the sidelines.

Teachers unions, publishers, and library systems spent decades quietly aligning on what America's children would and wouldn't be taught – and faith, patriotism, and honest history didn't make the cut.

Carson has been sounding this alarm for years.

Recent test scores prove he was right.

The children graduating without knowing why their country is worth defending prove it too.

The only question left is whether Americans are willing to fight back.
