Democrats want to eliminate any and all Constitutionalists from the Supreme Court.
That’s putting Clarence Thomas directly in their crosshairs yet again.
And a Democrat Justice let the cat out of the bag on this plan to replace Clarence Thomas.
Democrats have spent decades trying to scheme up a way to remove Justice Clarence Thomas from the Supreme Court.
Now, a former Justice sent political shockwaves by backing a plan to upend the Court.
Former Supreme Court Justice endorses term limits
Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer signaled that he would support term limits for the High Court during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.
President Joe Biden replaced Breyer on the Court with then-Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
NBC’s Kristen Welker used the Dobbs v. Jackson decision that overturned Roe v. Wade to ask him about having age limits on the Court.
“Dobbs happened in part, obviously, because Amy Coney Barrett replaced the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the court who passed away while she was still on the bench,” Welker said. “Do you think there should be age limits on the Supreme Court?”
Breyer said that he was open to the idea of term limits for Supreme Court Justices as long as the terms are long enough.
“I’ve said, and I think it’s true, I don’t think that’s harmful. I mean, if you had long terms, for example, they’d have to be long. Why long? Because I don’t think you want someone who’s appointed to the Supreme Court to be thinking about his next job. So a 20-year term — I don’t know, 18-long-term, fine, fine. I don’t think that would be harmful. I think it would have helped in my case. It would have avoided for me going through difficult decisions when you retire. What’s the right time and so that would be okay,” Breyer stated.
This is a radical suggestion for a former Supreme Court Justice to come out in support of the idea of term limits.
And the push for them is picking up steam amongst Democrats as a way to remove Republican Justices, even though they vehemently oppose such term limits for themselves.
Democrats have floated term and age limits for the Supreme Court in potential legislation after the Dobbs decision.
All of those proposals would conveniently force Justice Clarence Thomas – the longest-serving member of the Court – to retire.

Age limits, term limits, and packing the Supreme Court with more Democrat-appointed Justices have been tossed around by Democrats after Justice Amy Coney Barrett was appointed by former President Donald Trump.
Democrats’ media allies have been waging a smear campaign against Thomas and the Supreme Court to delegitimize it to the public.
Democrats are hoping that if Biden is re-elected and they maintain control of the Senate, they can ram through a plan to take control of the Supreme Court.
