Democrat Megadonor Went on Fox News and Unloaded on His Own Party

Bernie Sanders spent a decade building a socialist movement inside the Democrat Party and handed it to AOC.

Now the megadonor who funded Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden is done pretending that isn't a problem.

He went on Fox News this week and said the one thing Democrat leadership has spent years trying to keep quiet.

The Democrat Megadonor Who Funded Biden Just Declared His Party in Crisis

John Morgan founded Morgan & Morgan — America's largest personal injury law firm — and spent decades as one of the Democrat Party's biggest donors, cutting a $355,000 check to the Biden Victory Fund as recently as 2020.

"The Democratic Party is in a crisis, and it has been for a long, long time," Morgan told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany. "Who are we? Are we Democrats? Are we socialists?"

The man who wrote the checks just said it out loud.

"The Republican Party is two parties: it's RINOs and MAGA," Morgan said. "The Democratic Party is now two parties: it's Bill Clinton Democrats and me — I was on his finance committee, had dinner with him this year in Florida — and then it's the socialists."

He went further: "There are actually four parties in America, and those four parties are part of two parties."

Morgan challenged the entire movement to name one country where socialism has ever worked.

"What I don't understand is why can't anybody find a socialist government that ever worked? The past is the best predictor of the future, and for me sitting here in Florida, all I got to do is look down at Cuba — look down at Venezuela."

He's right — and the evidence is not theoretical.

Venezuela was once the richest country in South America. Socialist rule left 8 million citizens in critical need and drove nearly 6 million out of the country entirely. Cuba, six decades in, still imports 80 percent of its food while citizens stand in line for bread.

That is the destination AOC's wing of the party has chosen as its north star.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 2028 Could Hand Socialists the Democrat Nomination

McEnany cut to the reason Morgan's warning matters right now: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is running for president in 2028.

When asked directly on camera whether she was entering the race, Ocasio-Cortez offered no denial.

"I haven't ruled out the possibility," she said, "and I'm very humbled by the tremendous amount of support out there."

Morgan's read: "I think she's running." He added: "Because the field is so broad, she could win."

The Washington Examiner reported this week that at 36, Ocasio-Cortez is better positioned to carry the socialist banner in 2028 than Bernie Sanders — who is well past the age of both Trump and Biden when they ran. She has money, a national platform, and a freshly sanded image designed for a broader electorate.

AOC told ABC's This Week last Sunday that the left went too far after 2020 — calling that era "Woke 1."

That is not a sincere reckoning. That is a candidate road-testing a general election pitch.

He described the energy driving AOC's base as "malicious envy" — not the kind that makes people want to work harder, but the kind that convinces them to take what someone else built.

"Some of these politicians are using malicious envy to harness that energy," he said. "Malicious envy happened in Cuba. Malicious envy happened in Venezuela."

The Democrat Civil War Between Socialists and Centrists Has Already Begun

Morgan launched the Common Ground Party in June 2026, convinced the Democrat Party has already lost the battle for its own soul.

James Carville, the man who got Bill Clinton elected, is reportedly so rattled that Morgan fears he will suffer a stroke from stress.

Third Way announced a $15 million campaign to wage what it calls all-out "war" on the socialist wing of the party.

None of it will be enough.

AOC has what no other Democrat in the 2028 field has: a movement. Bernie Sanders built it for a decade, and she inherited every bit of it — with a fresher face and a sharper camera presence.

Morgan's challenge — name one place socialism has worked — has never been answered by Sanders, by Ocasio-Cortez, or by any of the DSA-backed candidates now running in Democrat primaries across the country.

The Democrat Party is not drifting Left — it is being pulled there, fast, by politicians who have chosen Cuba and Venezuela as their north stars.

Morgan saw it coming. He's been saying so since 2017 when he first walked away in disgust.

The question now is how many Americans will listen before November 2026 — and before 2028 puts a socialist on the Democrat ticket.
