Rodgers Walked Into ESPN With Eight Minutes and Lit Into Fauci Live
Aaron Rodgers appeared on Pat McAfee's ESPN broadcast from Pittsburgh Steelers training camp – a segment that was supposed to last eight minutes.
McAfee announced the hard out.
Rodgers used it as a starting gun.
"I'm going to plead the fifth," Rodgers told the national audience, "like that absolute coward Tony Fauci."
From there, Rodgers went on an uninterrupted monologue while McAfee's co-hosts sat stunned and the live audience laughed.
"Absolute coward," Rodgers continued. "You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times? What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science?"
McAfee covered his eyes at points.
Nobody stopped Rodgers.

Fauci Pleaded the Fifth 111 Times and Rand Paul Scheduled a Contempt Vote
Last week, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee – chaired by Sen. Rand Paul – had subpoenaed Anthony Fauci to testify on COVID-19 origins and the government's pandemic response.
Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times – to questions ranging from COVID origins to his own diary entries, which Paul had already released publicly.
"…under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution to refrain from answering your questions."
That was the only sentence Fauci uttered during more than two hours of questioning.
Paul scheduled a contempt vote for this week, arguing that Biden's preemptive pardon – issued in January 2025 – may not protect Fauci from perjury charges arising from the hearing itself.
Fauci walked in with a Biden autopen pardon in his pocket.
He still wouldn't answer a single question.
Rodgers Called the COVID Lab Leak What It Is and the Media Stayed Silent
"They suppressed early treatments," Rodgers told McAfee's audience. "They lied about where it came from. Tony Fauci is writing in his journal: 'I don't want to create any vaccine hesitancy if I tell them what the actual stats are.'"
"How much time did the network spend on that? How much time did they spend on my responses every week? On my vaccination status? Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci? I bet they didn't."
He's right.
The same networks that ran Fauci's press briefings as live national events – treating him with the reverence reserved for wartime generals – gave his Senate stonewalling 19 seconds, by Rodgers' count.
"Obviously that was made in a lab in China. That's not even questionable anymore."
At that point, McAfee ended the ESPN broadcast and moved to the digital stream.
A co-host joked: "Now you can really let loose!"
Rodgers Was Right and Fauci Just Proved It
Rodgers has been taking fire for four years over his COVID skepticism.
ESPN called him a menace to his teammates, scrutinized his vaccination status for months, and gave Fauci a free pass through all of it.
It started in 2021 when Rodgers told reporters he was "immunized" – a word the NFL and the media treated as a confession of something criminal.
The league investigated.
The press ran the story for weeks.
Rodgers got blacklisted from beer commercials, lectured by anchors, and fact-checked by reporters who never once asked Fauci why his own emails showed him privately questioning the six-foot distancing rule he was publicly enforcing.
Fauci's own diary entries – released by Rand Paul before the hearing – showed him worrying that telling the public the truth might create "vaccine hesitancy."
Rodgers spent years saying Fauci had something to hide.
Last week, Fauci proved it on live television.
And Rodgers – from a football practice field – said what the networks with billion-dollar budgets and First Amendment protections have been too afraid to say.
