Sean Duffy Shut Down the Democrat Scheme That Has Been Killing Americans on the Highway

Biden spent four years handing commercial truck licenses to illegal aliens who couldn't speak English.

Americans started dying for it – and the schools that put unqualified drivers on the road kept running.

Duffy and Mullin just sicced criminal investigators on the people who built that machine.

The CDL School Fraud Machine Biden Left Running

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration operates a Training Provider Registry – the federal database of approved CDL schools whose completion records unlock a driver's path to a commercial license.

Entry into that registry required nothing more than a school's own word.

No on-site inspections. No independent verification. States treated whatever paperwork a school submitted as gospel when deciding who gets behind the wheel of a vehicle that weighs as much as a small aircraft.

Investigators now say approximately 75 schools exploited every inch of that trust. Schools are suspected of using improper driver certifications, falsifying training records, and sending CDL applicants onto the road without adequate instruction.

One Washington state school – Skyline CDL – allegedly mailed gold envelopes stuffed with $520 in cash to a state examiner in exchange for passing scores. Investigators found that 80% of Skyline's drivers failed when retested. Some never took the driving test at all.

The system didn't catch it. It couldn't catch it. It wasn't designed to.

Sean Duffy and DHS Launch Criminal Investigation Into 75 CDL Schools

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced the joint investigation into this scam.

Duffy tallied what the last year of enforcement produced: "We've knocked over 24,000 drivers off our roads for failing to speak English, forced states to cancel over 28,000 licenses illegally issued to foreign drivers, and purged over 9,500 unqualified training schools from our FMCSA registry."

Mullin said, "Too many American lives have been lost in completely avoidable accidents because illegal aliens have been granted commercial driver's licenses to drive trucks and 18-wheelers on America's roadways."

DHS Homeland Security Investigations – the same unit that follows money across borders and unravels criminal organizations – now joins FMCSA to trace records, payments, and identities behind every one of the 75 suspect schools.

Criminal investigators can follow cash, build cases, and charge the people who profited from putting unqualified drivers on highways where American families travel.

Illegal Alien Truck Drivers Have Killed 17 Americans Since 2025

This isn't a paperwork problem.

Federal data shows at least 17 fatal crashes in 2025 alone linked to illegal alien truck drivers with commercial licenses.

A Pennsylvania state trooper – Michael Pahira Jr. – was struck and killed during a routine commercial vehicle inspection by a Haitian illegal alien who entered under Biden's humanitarian parole program. His parole was terminated. DHS ordered him removed. He stayed anyway, renewed a Massachusetts CDL, and kept driving.

A 21-year-old college soccer player named Toby Forsythe was killed on I-71 by an Uzbek national driving on an Ohio CDL. The driver spoke no English, required Google Translate to communicate with investigators, and attempted to smash his phones, dashcam, and electronic logging device at the scene.

In Indiana, four people – including members of an Amish community – were killed when a Kyrgyzstani national's semi crossed the center line and hit a passenger van head-on.

In Florida, Harjinder Singh failed the CDL knowledge exam ten times and the air brakes exam twice, was certified by his training school as an English speaker, and then killed three people attempting an illegal U-turn on a turnpike.

Seventeen dead in one year – not an accident rate, but the predictable output of a licensing system that stopped requiring proof of anything.

How FMCSA and Homeland Security Investigations Are Shutting It Down

Schools received proposed removal notices. Some removed themselves from the registry when they heard investigators were coming – 109 pulled out voluntarily during February's inspection blitz before federal agents could knock on their doors.

That voluntary exit is its own confession.

Criminal investigators don't issue proposed removal notices. They build cases, charge individuals, and follow the money from a school's bank account to an examiner's envelope to a fraudulent certificate to the highway where someone died.

The 75 schools under investigation are a target list, not a final count. FMCSA's February blitz covered all 50 states in five days and found instructors without proper licenses, schools using wrong vehicles, and providers that had trained bus drivers under CDL programs. Nearly 44% of all 16,000 CDL schools in the country were found out of compliance.

The Biden administration removed four schools from the registry between 2023 and April 2025. The Trump administration has removed nearly 10,000.

Drivers who earned a CDL honestly deserved a system that made their credential mean something. The fraud schools robbed them of that and left carriers across the country exposed to liability they never saw coming.

Duffy and Mullin are treating this for what it is: a criminal enterprise that used a self-certification loophole to manufacture lethal credentials. The investigation is open. The charges are coming.
