The Democratic Socialists of America won 35 primaries and declared their goal is to end capitalism in America.
Greg Gutfeld saw the scoreboard and decided the entire debate was a waste of his time.
What he said on The Five is the one answer socialists cannot argue with.

On The Five, Greg Gutfeld fired back at the growing DSA wave sweeping Democrat primaries – and he didn't do it with debate points or policy arguments. He did it with cold contempt.
"I resent having to debate over ideologies that have not only failed, but killed millions," Gutfeld said. "That we're having this discussion is offensive.
“So I feel like we should leave this with the Democrats, you know, and focus not on articulating a message, but implementing the message that we have. Because if you think about it, all the major fronts, we've won."
He wasn't finished.
"The opposition has retreated on the trans agenda, the climate agenda, which we don't hear about, the open border agenda. And for good reason, their reality got a cold shower. Men can't be women. Fossil fuels are necessary. A country can't survive without a border. Crime is not a lifestyle of the oppressed. And your identity doesn't matter when you're making me a smoothie."
Gutfeld landed the kill shot: "So all of these destructive beliefs were beaten, but still they're alive and twitching in the DSA. And if they don't put that out, the Democrat party's toast. So that's their battle. It's not ours."
DSA 2026 Primary Wins Are Splitting the Democrat Party Apart
Gutfeld's contempt lands even harder against the actual scoreboard.
The 2026 scoreboard tells the story: 35 wins in Democrat primaries, sitting incumbents knocked out in New York, Colorado, and Michigan.
A 29-year-old graduate student named Melat Kiros ended Democrat Rep. Diana DeGette's 29-year congressional career in Denver. In New York, socialist candidates Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier ousted two sitting Democrat incumbents in safe blue seats – backed by DSA-aligned New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
DSA co-chair Ashik Siddique told reporters last weekend: "I never thought this would be possible in my lifetime."
The DSA's goal is not reform – it is replacement. Their candidates run on Medicare for All, confiscatory wealth taxes, and a pro-Palestinian foreign policy. Establishment Democrats are already warning the platform cannot survive a national election.
The DSA couldn't care less.
Socialism Failed in Venezuela and the DSA Wants to Bring It Here
Americans have watched this movie before. It ends the same way every time.
Venezuela was once one of the wealthiest nations in the Western Hemisphere, sitting on the world's largest proven oil reserves. Hugo Chavez's socialist government nationalized industries, crushed private enterprise, and printed money until the currency was worthless.
By 2018, inflation hit 63,000 percent. The country ran out of food. Venezuelans lost an average of 24 pounds from hunger, and families who could not feed their children left them at orphanages.
That is the DSA's inspiration – not an abstraction or a theory, but a documented, photographed, body-counted record of what happens when socialists get the power they are campaigning for right now in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Colorado.
Gutfeld went further in a separate Five segment last week: "It cannot exist unless you enforce it aggressively, which means it is antithetical to human nature. If this stuff was so innate, why do you have to force it down our throats?"
Every socialist country in history eventually needed guns to keep the program running. The DSA just hasn't gotten to that part of the brochure yet.
Democrat Civil War Gives Republicans a 2026 Midterm Opening
Establishment Democrats are losing their own primaries to people who openly celebrate the same ideology that starved Venezuela. Party strategists are warning publicly that the DSA's platform is unelectable nationally.
Gutfeld's point cuts through all of it: this is the Democrats' civil war to fight, not Republicans' debate to lose.
The DSA is 35-for-150 in primaries this cycle and celebrating like they've already won. Those 35 winners will cast votes on tax rates, Medicare, and what gets taught in American schools.
Socialists are bringing the failed politics of the third world in the American political mainstream.
