Gavin Newsom got caught on a hidden camera telling a stranger the Democrat Party belongs to the socialists.
Now the man who made Mamdani mayor just handed the entire 2028 takeover blueprint to a European newspaper.
He named the president they plan to install and explained exactly how they plan to pull it off.
How the DSA Plans to Take Over the Democrat Party With AOC in 2028
Andrew Epstein is not a household name – but he should be.
He is the creative mind who turned an unknown state lawmaker named Zohran Mamdani into the mayor of New York City, defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo in one of the biggest political upsets of the decade.
Speaking to the Belgian newspaper De Tijd this week, Epstein spelled out exactly what the Democratic Socialists of America are building toward.
"I think we want to take over the Democratic Party," he told the outlet.
The vehicle for that takeover is already chosen, and Epstein named her.
"I cannot imagine any other politician who can mobilize the electorate needed to win the presidency," he said – referring to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
"You can only change a party by putting forward a president," Epstein said.
AOC rejoined the national DSA in August after a seven-year absence, timed to when DSA-backed candidates were winning Democratic primaries across the country.
DSA operatives have been running this play since 1991, when they worked with Democrat members of Congress to found the House Progressive Caucus – the original infiltration mechanism.
The DSA's own website described the approach openly: not a separate party competing against Democrats, but a faction working from inside.
They have been executing that plan ever since, and this week the architect of their biggest win just confirmed to a European newspaper that nothing has stopped it.
Gavin Newsom Confirmed the DSA Socialist Takeover on Undercover Video
Gavin Newsom – the man positioning himself as an establishment alternative for 2028 – was caught on a hidden camera telling a young voter exactly where his party is going.
"The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant," Newsom said. "That is going to be the mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question in my mind."
Newsom said that while stumping in New Hampshire for a congressional candidate – not at a DSA rally.
He had already told PBS that the Democrat Party is "pretty aligned" with DSA principles, and now he is on hidden camera confirming the socialist movement will dominate 2028 – sounding like a man who has already placed his bet.
Millennials who lived through the 2008 financial crash feel the "failure of capitalism," he argued, and no longer fear socialism – or even communism.
"The further we are from the Cold War, the more that anti-socialist culture disappears," he said.
The only firewall that ever stopped socialism from gaining real purchase in American politics was the living memory of what socialism actually produced: gulags, bread lines, mass graves.
That memory is fading, and Epstein is counting on it.
A recent New York Times/Siena poll found that 51% of American voters held an unfavorable view of socialism – but that number is moving in the wrong direction, and the socialist Left is not waiting for it to move further before making their play.
Mamdani himself quietly signed a petition calling AOC "the most viable Left contender for president in 2028."
DSA-backed candidates won primary races across New York this year and are expected to cruise to general election victories next Tuesday.
Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier will join AOC in Congress, expanding the DSA caucus on Capitol Hill.
Epstein worked on Valdez's winning primary campaign too – making him the same strategist who just explained the 2028 game plan to a European newspaper.
This is a coordinated machine that beat Andrew Cuomo in New York and is now openly telling the foreign press it plans to seize the Democrat Party and run its candidate for president.
When Gavin Newsom gets caught on camera nodding along, you know how far it has gone.
The takeover is not coming – it is already here.
