Laura Ingraham Revealed the Midterm Trap That Has Democrat Candidates Cornered

Melat Kiros is 29 years old, wants to abolish ICE, and just beat a sitting congresswoman.

Now the organization that put her there just published a plan to abolish the Senate.

Laura Ingraham's pollster says Republicans have a question that every Democrat running this fall cannot answer.

DSA Unveils a Plan to Abolish the Senate and Every 2026 Democrat Owns It

Fox News broke it first: the Democratic Socialists of America is rolling out an updated platform called "Workers Deserve More!" that would scrap the entire U.S. Senate, replace the president and Supreme Court with an executive branch chosen by and answerable to Congress, grant blanket amnesty to every illegal alien in the country, and defund the Department of Defense entirely.

That is not a fringe wish list scribbled by campus radicals.

It is the official governing document of the organization that just knocked out three sitting Democrat members of Congress out of their seats.

Zohran Mamdani – a Ugandan-born socialist who defeated former Gov. Andrew Cuomo – runs New York City under the DSA banner.

Melat Kiros toppled longtime Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette after campaigning on abolishing ICE and ending what she called the "genocide in Palestine."

Darializa Avila-Chevalier and Brad Landers knocked off two incumbent Democrat House members in New York City.

The DSA's existing platform already demands all deportations stop immediately, open borders with no immigration controls, and voting rights handed to convicted criminals and noncitizens alike.

The updated platform coming next week goes further – and every Democrat running this fall now has a problem.

How Republicans Plan to Force Every Democrat to Answer for Socialism in 2026

Pollster and political analyst Matt Towery went on Laura Ingraham's show and laid out the play.

"I think the Republicans should put this platform to them," Towery said. "Ought to run against them with it and make them have to renounce it. I don't think they can do it. It's going to split the Democrat Party."

He is right about the math.

The DSA wins where every socialist wins – dense cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Denver, the same ZIP codes that vote blue in state after state. That is the entire footprint.

That means every Democrat running in a competitive House district, every Senate candidate in a purple state, every challenger trying to flip a suburban seat has to either embrace the party's new socialist masters or publicly stab them.

Neither option survives the general.

Democrats who embrace the platform go on record supporting the abolition of the Senate – the institution their own colleagues serve in – along with open borders and a military stripped of its funding.

Renounce it and they torch the base turnout machine that just delivered three congressional upsets in the primaries.

Only 15 Democrats have so far signed the "Promise to America" centrist pledge vowing they are "capitalist, not socialist."

Fifteen – out of a caucus trying to take back the House.

The Democrat Party's socialism problem isn't at the margins – it goes all the way to the core.

What Happened the Last Time Democrats Let Socialists Define Their Party

Republicans have seen this movie before, and it ends well for them.

In 1964, Lyndon Johnson buried Barry Goldwater in a landslide so total the media declared the conservative movement finished.

Two years later, Republicans won a massive midterm wave.

One of the new conservative stars who emerged from nowhere was a supposed B-list actor named Ronald Reagan, who won the California governorship by a margin the press never saw coming.

The Democrats overreached, got tagged as radicals, and working-class Americans – union halls, factory floors, the people the Left insisted were natural allies – voted Republican.

The DSA thinks the same working-class voters will embrace abolishing the Senate and giving noncitizens the ballot.

Towery is betting they will not.

"I never knew that they would be given this gift so quickly of socialism," he told Ingraham.

The gift is real. The DSA just made it official, in writing, with a platform that will debut at its national conference in Chicago at the end of July.

Every Democrat running this November will be asked about it.

Most of them will not have a good answer.
