John Fetterman is seemingly undergoing a bit of a political transformation that’s been underway since he returned to the Senate after checking himself into the hospital for depression.

Now he’s throwing the Democrat Party another curveball.

And John Fetterman made one scary confession that Democrats are going to hate.

Fetterman has become a wildcard for Democrats

Long before he ran for the Senate in the 2022 Midterm election, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) spent years as an outspoken supporter of fellow Senator Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT) and his socialist agenda.

Many feared that he would simply become the Senate’s version of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the rest of the so-called “Squad.”

Fetterman’s time in the national spotlight has been defined by the near-fatal stroke he suffered in May 2022, before the Pennsylvania Democrat Primary.

He was barely able to function in public for the rest of the campaign and took a long leave of absence for depression once he entered the Senate last year.

But the Pennsylvania Democrat seemingly underwent a political conversation after he returned to the Senate.

He was suddenly willing to break from the Democrat Party’s hivemind and groupthink, criticizing his colleagues on issues like the Biden border crisis and Israel’s efforts to defend itself against Hamas terrorists.

Fetterman reveals what’s changed

Fetterman talked about his unusual political journey with comedian Bill Maher on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher.

Maher pointed out that Senator Fetterman became willing to buck his party after his stroke.

“When I see you, especially the last couple of years, you speak so freely. You speak like what politicians who I get on this show who aren’t in politics anymore, the ones who are out of office when they can be honest, and that’s the way you speak now and it’s a beautiful thing,” Maher said. “You speak for a lot of Democrats that are afraid to say a lot of that stuff.”

The comedian asked the Democrat Senator if the stroke played a role in his transformation.

“Absolutely. There’s a line from the first ‘Batman,’ Joker’s like ‘I’ve been dead once already. It’s very liberating,’” Fetterman replied. “It’s freeing in a way. And I just think after beating all of that, I just really [want to] be able to say the things that I have to really believe in and not be afraid of if there’s any kind of blowback.”

Fetterman said that the October 7 terrorist attack in Israel and Democrats’ support for the Palestinian terrorist organization known as Hamas caused him to reevaluate things.

“After what happened on October 7, I really knew that whole progressive stack would be blasted apart and there would not be any kind of way how the Democrats are going to be able to reply to that kind of response,” Fetterman explained.

Fetterman became one of the most outspoken Democrat supporters of Israel – of which there are few – much to the consternation of the woke mob that controls the Party.

“And I really decided early on that I believe that was gonna be the right side with Israel throughout all of that,” Fetterman explained. “Democrats would continue to peel away and kind of walk away from standing with Israel on that.”

He was befuddled by the identity politics war breaking out within the Democrat Party over Israel.

“And even in Philadelphia, the Queers for Palestine blocked the Pride Parade in Philadelphia, and I never saw that on the Bingo card,” Fetterman remarked.

John Fetterman is representing one of the top battleground states in the nation and is working on branding himself as a maverick to help his re-election chances in 2028.
