Elisabeth Hasselbeck Destroyed The View Hosts With One Brutal Fact That Left Them Fuming

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to The View as a guest host.

The show’s lone conservative wasn’t going to play nice.

And Elisabeth Hasselbeck destroyed The View hosts with one brutal fact that left them fuming.

The Mask Mandate Hypocrisy That Silenced The View's Liberal Co-Hosts

Whoopi Goldberg was in the middle of her usual routine on The View – worried about ICE agents in masks approaching people on the street – when Elisbeth Hasselbeck took off the gloves.

"This is the party of masks. You guys forced masks on everybody in the United States."

Audible gasps from the audience.

The co-hosts scrambled to claim it was "different."

These are the same people who wanted two-year-olds in daycare wearing face coverings.

And had police enforcing mask mandates on joggers in city parks.

The same people who kept school children masked for nearly two years while their own governors and mayors showed up maskless at crowded indoor events – the Met Gala, the French Laundry, the NFC Championship game in Los Angeles.

Republicans called it out at the time.

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers said it directly in a February 2022 congressional hearing: these decisions were not based on science – they were motivated by political science.

Fox News documented Democrat after Democrat appearing maskless at public events while their constituents faced fines for doing the same thing.

Now Whoopi Goldberg is scared of a masked ICE agent.

Sunny Hostin's Immigration Claims and the Border Numbers She Will Not Say

Before the mask moment, Hasselbeck had already handed Sunny Hostin and Goldberg a beating on immigration.

She turned to the studio audience and asked how many of them had to go through security to get in.

"This is an authorized audience," she said. "They had to go through security to get through the border to get right here, just to hear us talk. We need strong borders more than ever right now."

The women demanding open southern borders require a security check to watch them tape a television show.

She then laid out the Trump administration's results: zero illegal aliens released into the U.S. for 10 months straight, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the country, the lowest murder rate in 125 years, fentanyl trafficking down 56% at the border, and daily crossings down 96%.

Joy Behar tried to interrupt.

Hasselbeck kept going.

Hostin then made the claim she makes every single time this comes up – that illegal aliens are five times less likely to commit crimes than American citizens, and that most of them pay more in taxes than anyone.

Neither claim holds up.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform found that in 2017 illegal aliens paid roughly $19 billion in taxes while costing the country approximately $134.9 billion in government services – a net loss of more than $115 billion.

Hostin also invoked Debrina Kawam – a 57-year-old woman burned alive on a New York City subway on New Year's Eve 2024 by a criminal illegal alien – and told viewers to care about statistics instead.

Alyssa Farah Griffin had the right answer the last time Hostin pulled this routine: when Americans know a woman was set on fire on a New York subway by someone who should never have been in this country, they do not care what the aggregate statistics say.

Hasselbeck named names: Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Moran, Matthew Dennis, Sarah Ruett, Ivory Smith.

The View does not say those names.

Hasselbeck said every single one.

The Pattern Nobody on That Panel Wants to Acknowledge

This was not a one-time slip from Hostin and Goldberg.

This is who they are.

Hostin has a documented history of making false claims about immigration on this show and then doubling down when challenged.

She called illegal entry into the United States a civil infraction and not a crime – a claim that directly contradicts federal law under 8 U.S.C. § 1325, which makes unlawful entry a criminal misdemeanor.

She told millions of Americans that most fentanyl entering the country is carried by American citizens at ports of entry – a talking point designed to shift blame away from the cartels trafficking it.

And Whoopi, after spending the entire segment attacking ICE agents for wearing masks, came back from commercial break and announced that actually everybody wants tight borders and wants people who are not good for the country removed.

She said this like she had not just spent ten minutes saying the opposite.

What Hasselbeck exposed was the entire model The View runs on: manufacture outrage at enforcement, ignore the victims it protects, deploy statistics selectively, and pivot when the audience stops buying it.

Those border numbers Hasselbeck read on live television – the ones Hostin and Goldberg sat in silence through – are the numbers that explain why Trump won and why Democrats keep losing the immigration argument.

The only person on that stage who looked credible was the one they brought in as a temporary guest.
