Democrats raised over a billion dollars for Kamala Harris's campaign less than two years ago.
Now the same party carries $18 million in debt while Republicans sit on $128 million and owe nothing.
And James Comer just exposed the secret pipeline that bankrolled the Left for twenty years – and it's gone.
Arabella Advisors: The Dark Money Network That Kept Democrats Flush for Two Decades
Federal Election Commission filings tell only part of the story of the Democrats financial woes since the 2024 Election.
The raw numbers are damning on their own: the DNC reported $16.3 million in cash against $18.5 million in debts, while the Republican National Committee reported $128.5 million on hand with zero debt.
In super PAC money, the gap is wider still – Republicans command over $1 billion while Democrats scramble with $334 million.
For two decades, a Clinton White House operative named Eric Kessler ran Arabella Advisors – a for-profit consultancy that managed over $1 billion in 501(c) funds for left-wing causes, voter mobilization, and Democrat messaging, all while hiding the money trail from public view.
Trump won in November 2024.
By November 2025, Arabella was gone in name – rebranded as Sunflower Services, a public benefit corporation designed to look charitable and shed a toxic reputation.
It fooled nobody.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer was already watching.
His committee launched an investigation into Arabella's Sixteen Thirty Fund, which had created a secret influencer program called Chorus – paying people $8,000 a month to flood social media with Democrat talking points under a mandatory gag order.
When Comer's committee sent formal inquiries, Sixteen Thirty Fund didn't defend itself – it severed ties with Chorus, installed a new front entity called Creator Collective, and went silent.
USAID fed the same machine.
Congressional testimony documented that USAID employees donated to Democrats at rates of 95 percent or higher, with extensive revolving-door movement from the agency into Arabella's network of nonprofits.
Trump shut USAID down in early 2025, canceling up to 90 percent of its programs.
Democrat fundraising collapsed almost immediately afterward.
This is not the first time Democrats have hit rock bottom between cycles – the DNC entered the 2018 midterm year with just $422,000 net after the Clinton loss.
But this time, the dark money infrastructure that backstopped the party through every lean cycle is not coming back.
DSA Socialist Primaries Are Bleeding Democrat Funds in the 2026 Midterms
The Democrat Party's money problems do not end with dark money.
DSA-backed candidates have toppled incumbents across the country in 2026 primaries, forcing sitting Democrats into expensive primary fights before they ever face a Republican opponent.
Melat Kiros – a 29-year-old DSA socialist – defeated 15-term Rep. Diana DeGette in Denver.
Socialist Darializa Avila Chevalier unseated five-term Rep. Adriano Espaillat in New York.
Two more DSA-backed candidates won congressional primaries after New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani – who built his campaign on promises to abolish ICE and end corporate greed – campaigned for them directly.
Former DNC chair Jaime Harrison publicly told the socialist insurgents they were tearing the party apart and needed to leave.
James Carville called for removing them from the caucus entirely.
Neither man has a plan to stop them.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court struck down caps on coordinated party spending in NRSC v. FEC, ruling they violated the First Amendment – and handed the RNC the right to write direct checks to candidates with no ceiling.
Trump's political director announced Republicans will begin spending their reserves – including MAGA Inc.'s $400 million war chest – "very soon."
Democrats have no answer.
The Republican reserves are being held deliberately, ready to flood swing races in the final weeks when undecided voters start paying attention and Democrat committees are flat broke.
The billionaire donors who wrote nine-figure checks for Kamala Harris – including Reid Hoffman and Bob Kerrigan – have stopped writing them.
The dark money machine that printed billions for Democrats is gone. James Comer is picking through the wreckage while socialists torch what's left.
