Kamala Harris raised nearly $1 billion in 107 days from people who liquidated their savings believing they were saving America.
Now a top insider is revealing where that money actually went.
The answer involves a trick that let some operatives claim millions they never raised.

Lindy Li was one of the Democrat Party's top fundraisers before they destroyed her for telling the truth about Joe Biden.
Now she has a book – Unburdened – and she is naming names.
Li sat down with Fox News Digital to detail a fundraising operation that functioned less like a political campaign and more like a multilevel marketing scheme.
"When you recruit somebody, you can claim up to $250,000 of what they raise," Li told Fox News Digital.
That was just the start.
Li described how operatives could also poach donors from colleagues, shuffle money between accounts, and double-count contributions – allowing some insiders to log $10 million in personal fundraising totals without raising a single new dollar.
The mechanism guaranteed that loyalty to the machine paid better than actual performance.
Access inside the party worked the same way.
Those who publicly defended Biden's mental fitness – despite knowing the truth – were rewarded with the most coveted access.
Those who asked questions found their access gone overnight.
Li herself questioned Biden's ability to serve another term, lost her access, and was eventually pushed out of the party entirely.
What she saw on her way out the door is what ended up in Unburdened.

The inflated numbers were only part of the story.
Once the money was in – pulled from small-dollar donors who believed they were saving democracy – the campaign had to spend it.
And spend it they did.
More than $500 million went to four media contracting firms named in Li's book: Media Buying & Analytics, Gambit Strategies, Bully Pulpit Interactive, and Dupont Circle Strategies.
Each one took off-the-top commissions on every dollar that passed through.
Li described the arrangement as a straightforward skim: consultants pocketing 15 percent off hundreds of millions in TV ad buys – a bigger grift, she said, than the Biden family kickback story everyone was already talking about.
The math is not complicated.
Fifteen percent of $500 million is $75 million – flowing directly to firms run by people who were friends of Harris or friends of campaign chair Jen O'Malley-Dillon.
Li also documented the spending that came alongside the ad buys: $350,000 a night plastering Harris's face across the Las Vegas Sphere, Gulfstream charter flights to avoid commercial travel, Ritz-Carlton hotel stays for party elites, and tote bags.
The result was the most expensive presidential campaign in American history – and a loss to Donald Trump that left its strategists without answers.
The DNC ended the cycle with more obligations than cash on hand.
None of them needed to win.
The Democrat super PAC Priorities USA had warned the party about exactly this problem in a 2021 internal memo – three years before Harris burned through $1.5 billion in 107 days – pointedly titled "How Democrats Can Optimize Media Spending and Stop Wasting Millions."
The party read the memo.
Then they hired the same people anyway.
The firms that collected the bulk of Harris's money were founded by veterans of the Clinton and Obama campaigns – the same generation of operatives who built the system and have been profiting from it through every cycle since.
What Li is documenting in Unburdened is not a campaign malfunction.
It is the campaign working exactly as designed – to enrich the people who ran it while ordinary donors liquidated retirement accounts believing they were standing between America and the end of democracy.
The machine paid out.
It just was not paying out to them.
