Adam Carolla Diagnosed Rosie O’Donnell After Her Own Therapist Gave Up

Rosie O'Donnell moved to Ireland to escape Trump – and still couldn't stop posting about him.

Even her friends flew to Dublin to beg her to disconnect.

Now Adam Carolla just explained exactly what's wrong with her – and every other leftist who traded a career for a grudge.

Carolla Names Newsom Bass and the Celebrities Who Traded Careers for Trump Derangement Syndrome

On a recent episode of The Adam and Dr. Drew Show, Carolla laid out exactly what Trump Derangement Syndrome looks like from the outside.

"You're a politician, and you think, 'I'm going to make change, and I'm going to stand up for this, and I'm going to fix that,'" Carolla said. "And all you're doing is fighting with Trump."

He went straight at California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass.

"That's all you do," he said. "Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass – their full-time job is just fighting Trump. It's no longer what they want to do, it's 'what does Trump want to do?' then 'I'm going to go fight Trump.'"

Newsom spent the past year barnstorming red states, calling Trump "an invasive species," and floating a 2028 presidential run – all while wildfire victims in his own state couldn't get building permits to rebuild their homes.

Bass was literally out of the country when the Palisades fires started destroying Los Angeles.

Their full-time job is fighting Trump.

Kathy Griffin Uncanceled and Rosie O'Donnell in Ireland — Two Careers That Became One Obsession

Carolla turned his attention to washed up comedians Rosie O'Donnell and Kathy Griffin – two women who once had real audiences and real careers.

"Rosie O'Donnell, you wanted to do comedy at some point, right? Now you sit and you fight Trump. And Kathy Griffin, you wanted to do comedy, and you both could do it at a high level, but you threw it all away to fight Trump."

O'Donnell fled to Ireland five days before Trump's inauguration, dragging her 12-year-old child across the Atlantic. Her therapist begged her to stop posting about Trump for two days. She lasted a few hours.

Her longtime friend Jennifer Kopetic came to visit and told her to disconnect. She couldn't do it. During Trump's first term she painted more than 200 digital portraits of him on her iPad – labeling him "Moron," "Loser," and "Liar." The obsession followed her to Dublin.

Griffin spent seven years out of the business after posing with a fake bloody head designed to look like Trump's. The fallout was swift – she went from two Emmy wins and a sold-out tour to bipartisan condemnation and a career in freefall.

Now she's declared herself "uncanceled" and her entire comeback is built around the same obsession that wrecked her in the first place. She's urging podcast listeners to canvass their neighborhoods and find out who's "MAGA or not."

That’s a cry for help.

The Psychology of Trump Derangement Syndrome According to Dr Drew

Carolla and Dr. Drew Pinsky identified the real mechanism.

Carolla argued that a comedian with money in the bank, no shows to perform, and too much free time finds that "that mind will start wandering on you."

"When the brain is not constantly working in some sort of support of some goal," he said, "it starts turning. And that's a problem."

Pinsky supplied the other half: "It must be rewarding in some way because they keep doing it. It gives them meaning."

Carolla made the contrast simple: "I didn't like Obama, but I didn't give up on life to fight Obama."

The White House wasn't subtle.

"Rosie O'Donnell clearly suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome," White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said, "and it's better for the entire country that she decided to move away."

Trump won twice. He's governing. He's building, cutting, deporting, and winning.

Rosie's in Dublin. Kathy's interrogating her neighbors. Newsom's running for president of a state that's on fire.

And none of them can stop.
