James Talarico went on Joe Rogan and told America that God is non-binary and the Bible supports abortion.
He has been doing it in Texas churches, at county fairs, and in front of veterans groups ever since.
Brandon Gill just told Fox News what James Talarico is really doing to Texas Christians and it has a name.
Brandon Gill Names the Play on Fox News
Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas is one of the sharpest conservative voices to come out of the Lone Star State in years – and on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, he said what millions of Texans have been thinking.
He described Talarico as a politician who takes your most cherished traditions, your love for Friday night football, your small-town faith – and "wears them like a skin suit."
Then he promotes policies that make your life worse – and that is not a metaphor, it is the operating manual for the 2026 Texas Senate race.
Talarico is running against Attorney General Ken Paxton on one premise: that his far-left agenda and the faith of Texas Christians point to the same place. They do not.
Gill spelled out exactly what is underneath.
"Whether it's flooding American communities with illegal aliens or supporting a party who wants to give welfare to illegal aliens," Gill said, "or promoting ideas about how the Bible is pro-abortion or God is non-binary – I mean, these are bizarre things."
"I think most Texans see how James Talarico is trying to portray himself and what he actually believes and realize these are two very different Talaricos."
There they are – two very different Talaricos.

James Talarico Said God Is Non-Binary and the Bible Supports Abortion
In 2021, on the Texas House floor, Talarico announced that "God is non-binary" while opposing a bill to protect women's sports.
On Joe Rogan in July 2025, he made a biblical case for abortion – using the first chapter of Luke to argue that God asked Mary for "consent."
He told a Presbyterian congregation that the "trans community needs abortion care, too."
Talarico did not arrive at these positions by accident. He is a Harvard-educated Presbyterian seminarian who has spent years building a theological framework designed to make far-left politics sound like Scripture – which is not faith, it is strategy.
The Republican National Committee called him a "woke nutjob," and they were being generous. Christian Post theologians went further: politicians who declare God non-binary are not interpreting the Bible at all – they are "imposing modern ideological categories onto it."
Brandon Gill called it a con. He was right.
What the Paxton vs Talarico Senate Race Means for Texas Christians
Texas has not sent a Democrat to statewide office since 1994.
Every time Democrats find a candidate smooth enough to close the gap – Beto O'Rourke in 2018, Colin Allred in 2024 – they lose the moment voters look past the packaging and see what the candidate actually believes.
Beto tried wrapping a hard-left agenda in Texas-flavored packaging – skateboard ramps, barber shop stops, and Friday night football rallies – and lost to Ted Cruz by three points.
Allred leaned into his NFL linebacker background, ran as a moderate, and still lost.
You cannot smile your way through a Baptist church while backing open borders, abortion on demand, and gender ideology in schools – and Texas voters eventually figure that out.
Talarico knows the Bible, how a church service moves, and exactly which emotions to tap in a pew – which makes him more dangerous than Beto or Allred ever were, and not one bit more genuine.
With polls showing this race inside the margin of error, every Texas Christian who opens the door to Talarico is handing him a Senate seat.
Vote for Talarico and more illegal aliens end up in Texas communities. His economic platform – wage controls, expanded welfare programs, higher corporate taxes – is wealth redistribution dressed as working-class populism.
What he calls theology is not Christianity; it is the leftist agenda wearing Christianity's clothes.
The man who wraps himself in faith, football, and small-town traditions will vote against every one of them the moment he reaches Washington.
Texas Christians do not need a skin-suit senator. They need to vote like they know the difference.
