Joe Biden humiliated himself and his country in that first debate against Donald Trump.
Nobody in the Democrat Party wants to remember him.
The man who raised almost a million dollars for Biden just told the world what his legacy is worth.
Biden Presidential Library Fundraising Has 4 Million Dollars While Obama Got 850 Million
Barack Obama's presidential museum arrived in Chicago this past June to the kind of celebration money can buy – $850 million raised and Christina Aguilera on the stage.
Donald Trump is building a $1 billion gold tower in Miami.
Joe Biden's presidential records are sitting in room 1501 of a government facility in Maryland.
Biden's library foundation has exactly $4 million on hand – not a dollar of it raised specifically for this purpose.
Tax filings show the foundation expects to raise just $11.3 million by 2027 – against a target of $200 million to $300 million.
His biggest donors are already saying no.
John Morgan – a Florida lawyer and longtime Biden bundler – did not hold back.
"I want an $800,000 refund," Morgan told NBC News.
Morgan called it a "bookmobile from the old days" and said he was only sort of joking.
Another donor quoted by the Daily Mail was blunter.
"No real library will ever be built," that donor said. "Sadly, for him, that ship has sailed."
Another Biden bundler – a former administration official – was asked directly whether he would donate.
"Me? No way."
Biden Spent Four Years Wrecking the Country and Now Wants a Presidential Library
Presidential libraries are how former presidents control their own history.
Without one, Biden's story stays exactly where it belongs – room 1501 of a Maryland government facility that nobody visits.
No site has been confirmed in Delaware, and the foundation's 2025 tax return was due in May and has still not been filed.
His team is now quietly discussing a fallback – merging the library with existing Biden-affiliated buildings at the University of Delaware, not a gleaming museum, just a corner of a campus that freshmen use to avoid studying.
A White House official who worked directly with Biden told the Daily Mail that he was "selfish" and found the presidency "intoxicating" – surrounding himself with advisers who were not "willing to speak truth to power."
"They did the country a disservice," that official said. "But ultimately, the buck stops with him."
Donors are still furious about the 2024 campaign.
Biden stayed in the race past the point of no return, bombed the debate, and handed the nomination to Kamala Harris in a panic – Democrats lost the White House anyway.
Morgan said he recently had dinner with Bill Clinton to discuss donating to his library's expansion instead.
Biden never handed out ambassadorships, never made donors feel valued, and drove away the loyalists who kept him in politics for five decades.
The donors who walked away are writing checks for the midterms instead.
Biden's 13-member library board met for a private dinner at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania in February.
Ashley Biden's Instagram account was the only evidence the evening happened at all.
Four Million Dollars Is What Biden Presidential Library Donors Think His Legacy Is Worth
The comparison is brutal.
Reagan's library opened in 1991 with a Marine One helicopter on display. George W. Bush raised $500 million and opened his library on an SMU campus in Dallas. Obama raised $850 million and opened to a star-studded concert in Chicago.
Biden raised four million dollars, cannot file his foundation's taxes on time, and his team is eyeing a corner of the University of Delaware.
The voters delivered their verdict in November 2024 – they chose Donald Trump after four years of open borders, record inflation, and a president who could not finish a sentence.
Now Biden's own donors are delivering the same verdict.
The man who ran the most powerful country on earth cannot raise enough money to put his name on a building in Wilmington, Delaware.
John Morgan said the bookmobile was a joke.
He also said he was not joking by much.
