Researchers Just Broke Into an Underground Cavity at Noah’s Ark Site and Recovered Something From Inside It

In 1996 two geologists published a paper declaring the Durupinar formation a natural rock and the academic world walked away for thirty years.

The Pentagon defense scientist who mapped the site said his radar had never seen anything like the structures beneath it.

What came back up from inside that cavity is now headed to a laboratory.

Core Drilling at the Durupinar Formation Near Mount Ararat Finds No Bedrock

The Durupınar Formation is a 515-foot boat-shaped mound in eastern Turkey near Mount Ararat – the region the Bible identifies as the resting place of Noah's Ark – and for decades Christians have believed it is exactly that.

For the first time in the site's 67-year recorded history, researchers drilled inside it under official government permits and university oversight.

They went more than 60 feet deep across a dozen locations and did not find rock anywhere.

"We did not find bedrock at all," Andrew Jones, founder of Noah's Ark Scans, told Fox News.

Instead the drill hit rich black soil – soil so dense with organic matter that samples are being shipped to Ankara University this winter for full organic content testing.

Then a drill bit shattered on a layer harder than limestone – and petrified wood is harder than limestone.

The drill broke through into an actual underground cavity.

The water inside would not drain away. It stayed sealed in the same space as researchers worked around it, which let the team pull a mud sample from directly inside the pocket.

That sample is in a laboratory.

The team also sent GOPHER – a small camera-equipped robot built to enter spaces too narrow for a person – down through the boreholes, 12 meters underground, marking the first time any camera had gone inside this formation.

No rock on the way down. Loose sediment at the bottom of open spaces inside the mound.

Radar scans also show a thick underground layer dividing into three distinct sections. Genesis 6:16 records God commanding Noah to build the Ark with three decks, and the formation where those layers were just identified is exactly 515 feet long – the precise length the Bible records for the Ark.

Pentagon Defense Scientist Says the Noahs Ark Turkey Site Is Not Geological

Dr. Khosrow Bakhtar spent four decades building detection systems for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Army, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and NORAD.

He authored more than 200 technical papers and managed over 25 Department of Defense projects.

His BakhtarRadar – the same technology used to map cartel drug tunnels under the U.S.-Mexico border – is specifically designed to be geologically blind. It sees through rock and only shows what rock cannot account for.

When he deployed it at Durupınar near Mount Ararat, it penetrated as deep as 95 meters and mapped corridors, chambers, and hallways – including one hallway running over 250 feet through the interior of the formation.

"Whatever the object is beneath the surface is extraordinary," Dr. Bakhtar told the Daily Mail. "In forty years of this work, I have never seen anything like it."

"Natural ground does not organize itself into corridors, chambers, and hallways," he said.

A mining engineer with a PhD in rock mechanics, 200 Pentagon papers, and 40 years of DoD projects just told you what lies beneath the Durupınar Formation is not geological – and now the drill has entered what his radar mapped.

Every objection the skeptics raised has been answered: no bedrock at more than a dozen drilling locations, the drill entered the voids the radar identified, a robot captured footage from inside the formation, three underground layers match the Bible's three-deck command exactly, and a sealed cavity held water and yielded a mud sample now being analyzed.

Andrew Jones told Fox News the team is inching toward confirmation.

"In archaeology, you deal with probabilities," he said, "and we're inching towards where we believe we will have confirmation this winter."

The mainstream press will cover this the same way they cover everything that validates what believers already know – which is to say, barely.

Academic gatekeepers will demand peer-reviewed publication before acknowledging what a drill, a robot, and the Pentagon's most advanced subsurface detection system are already showing them.

The evidence is in a test tube. The lab results land this winter.
