Representative Katie Porter screamed obscenities at her own staffer on camera and expected sympathy.
Now another Democrat woman is making headlines for the exact same reason – and Megyn Kelly has seen enough.
Kelly sat down with Glenn Greenwald, and what she said about the Mary Peltola story stopped the Left cold.
Mary Peltola Shoved a Staffer and Called It a Bump
Mary Peltola has a problem.
The Democrat running to flip Alaska's Senate seat – a race Cook Political reports is a toss-up – just got torched by a New York Times investigation that read more like a workplace horror story.
Nine former aides, speaking anonymously out of fear of retaliation, described a congressional office defined by sudden, profane explosions, slurs against gay people and the intellectually disabled, and staff turnover rates that should have been disqualifying long before now.
The most damaging allegation: Peltola shoved a male staffer in the chest when she could not locate a memo for a meeting.
The campaign did not deny the confrontation – it insisted Peltola had "bumped" the aide accidentally and pointed out it was her late husband's first birthday since his death. The papers flying off her desk were not swept, the campaign clarified, merely shuffled. She was "unfocused and riddled with grief."
Three former aides said she would jump up and down and stomp her feet during ordinary frustrations. Two said a 2024 incident looked like a scene out of the HBO show Veep.
In private texts, Peltola expressed hope that a Planned Parenthood board member would "die of a botched abortion." Planned Parenthood had endorsed her previous campaigns and cut her off this cycle.
The campaign confirmed that House staffers were put to work feeding live crickets to her family's pet chameleon.

Megyn Kelly Connects Peltola Staff Abuse to Katie Porter Pattern
On The Megyn Kelly Show with Glenn Greenwald, Kelly connected the Peltola file to a pattern she had been tracking for months.
"She has an anger management problem," Kelly said. "Why is this such a trend with these liberal democratic women? Like, what are they so angry about? Calm down."
"I really think they need to get some, and then they'd be happier," Kelly said, specifically naming Katie Porter alongside Peltola.

Porter spent years as Congress's favorite accountability warrior, whiteboard in hand, grilling executives on camera. Then a 2021 video surfaced of her screaming "Get out of my f—ing shot!" at a staffer who stepped into a Zoom frame. Another clip showed her threatening to walk out on a reporter mid-interview when the questions got uncomfortable.
Her California gubernatorial campaign collapsed in the primary. She has since stepped back from politics.
The pattern was identical: explosive temperament, elaborate excuses, and years of staff abuse the Left quietly covered for as long as it could.
Greenwald, who has broken from the Left on issues of media bias, drew a line between offensive private language and the physical confrontation with the staffer – the latter, he said, was more than a tabloid story.
Democrats Defend Mary Peltola as Alaska Senate Race Hangs in the Balance
The Left rushed to protect Peltola the same way it protected Porter.
Former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called the Times story "bulls**t on so many levels," framing a workplace abuse investigation as an attack on a Native American woman threatening to flip a Senate seat.
When the behavior cannot be defended, change the subject to identity.
Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan called the allegations "very disturbing" and rejected the grief explanation outright.
"So many Alaskans had to get put through that kind of severe abuse," Sullivan said.
Sullivan is right to push back – because Peltola's conduct was not a single bad day. Nine witnesses documented years of it.
Democrats have policed Republican temperament for decades while excusing their own. The Porter comparison makes that double standard impossible to ignore, which is why the Left is furious.
Prominent Democrats rushed in to argue the real problem was the story getting out – not the behavior that generated it.
The Left has a word for staffers who get shoved: thin-skinned. Kelly has a different diagnosis for the women doing the shoving – and it aired on national radio.
