Charlie Kirk Statue Vandalized at Turning Point USA Phoenix Headquarters
Someone crept to Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters in the dead of night Saturday and hit the newly unveiled Charlie Kirk statue with red spray paint – going straight for the face and neck, the exact spot where the sniper’s bullet ended Kirk’s life one year ago this week.
The eight-foot bronze statue had stood for exactly three days.
Sculptor Quintin McCann spent months crafting every detail – Kirk’s cross necklace, his wedding ring, the stack of MAGA hats in his left hand, his right arm raised just as it was that Wednesday morning at Utah Valley University when he threw caps to the crowd of 3,000 students. The pose was Kirk in his element, doing what he loved, moments before a sniper fired a single rifle shot from a rooftop 142 yards away.
The vandals knew all of that. They painted over the neck anyway.
And they didn’t stop there. A nearby sign reading “Jesus defeated death so you can live” was hit as well – the name of Jesus crossed out, the word “Satan” scrawled in its place.

Crossing over Charlie’s face, scratching out Jesus and the Cross & spraying red paint on his neck.

TPUSA confirmed they are reviewing surveillance footage and working with Phoenix Police to identify suspects. Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said publicly that acts like this will not be tolerated in Arizona.
Erika Kirk Issues Statement After Charlie Kirk Memorial Defaced
Kirk’s widow – now CEO of Turning Point USA – didn’t wait. Her response landed Sunday morning. Since taking over the organization after her husband’s assassination, Erika has led TPUSA through its most aggressive expansion in years, and she wasn’t about to let a spray can slow it down.
“Charlie once said we should be building two statues for every statue that they tear down,” Erika Kirk wrote on X. “His instinct was always to build, not to destroy.”
“And if you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong. We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked.”
Then the vow: “We’ll put His name right back where it belongs, clean up the mess, restore Charlie’s statue, and keep building. We will never give up and never surrender.”

This is the same woman who stood before 100,000 people at State Farm Stadium eleven days after her husband was murdered – and publicly forgave the man who killed him.
She quoted Christ from the cross: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Then she meant it.
That moment drew a standing ovation and left even MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough speechless. The hard left expected a movement to collapse. They got a revival instead. TPUSA Faith doubled its church network within weeks of Kirk’s death, adding more than 200,000 Christians to its ranks in one of the largest growth surges the organization has ever seen.
Now a year later, the same people who mocked Kirk’s anniversary – who posted videos of students dancing to reenactments of his assassination, who organized Students for a Democratic Society protests at the UVU memorial – sent someone to Phoenix with a spray can.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox declared September 10 “Charlie Kirk Day” across the state. President Trump called Kirk “a great friend” at the RNC midterm convention in Dallas this week, vowing his movement would win November in Kirk’s honor.
The man accused of pulling the trigger, Tyler James Robinson, faces 10 criminal counts including aggravated murder. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. His next court appearance is October 23.
The statue that was supposed to erase Charlie Kirk is still standing. So is his wife.
