Socialist streamer Hasan Piker told millions of viewers that America deserved 9/11.
Now Democrat Senate candidates are using him as their campaign closer in swing states.
What James Carville said about it – and about black voters – is not something socialist Democrats can ignore.
Carville Sounds the Alarm as DSA Sweeps 2026 Primaries and Threatens the Black Voter Coalition
James Carville has been sounding the alarm on the socialist revolution inside the Democrat Party.
On the On Brand podcast, he warned the socialist wave is fracturing the Democrat coalition at the worst possible moment.
"The blacks don't buy this s***," Carville said, warning Democrats that socialist Democrat and DSA candidates are torching the most reliable voting bloc in the history of the party.
"Black folks, listen to me very carefully, are the most loyal part of the entire Democratic coalition," Carville said. "If you disrespect them, they know it. And the Democratic Party can never show any distance between itself and black voters."
The data backs Carville up in ways that have every Democrat running for office in November sweating.
Fox News reported that in last year's New York City mayoral primary, socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani trailed Andrew Cuomo among black voters by nearly six points across the city.
In Brownsville and East Flatbush – two neighborhoods where black residents make up more than 60% of the population – the margin was not close.
In Missouri, DSA candidate Cori Bush went down in a landslide, overwhelmingly defeated by Rep. Wesley Bell in the primary.
Socialist Democrats are losing the voters they cannot afford to lose.
Hasan Piker Said America Deserved 9/11 and Democrats Made Him Their 2026 Senate Closer
Carville saved his sharpest words for Hasan Piker.
Piker is the far-left Twitch streamer who said live on camera "America deserved 9/11," praised Mao Zedong as "one of the great leaders of this world," and declared he would "vote for Hamas over Israel every single time."
Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed used Piker as his campaign closer in Michigan – putting him on stages at the University of Michigan in the final weeks of the primary.
El-Sayed won the August 4 primary by a thin margin.
Carville drew a line.
"I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker," Carville told Fox News. "If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I'm out of here. I have no intention of ever being in the political party with that guy."
He is not alone.
Sen. John Fetterman issued El-Sayed a direct dare after the Michigan results came in.
"I dare you, I dare you," Fetterman said. "Keep campaigning with someone like Hasan Piker."
Fetterman spelled out the general election math.
"If I was a Republican, I'd dump $20 million in ads. He pals around with Hasan Piker, who said America deserved 9/11, and you're gonna try to win a general election?"
New Jersey Democrat congressional candidate Adam Hamawy had a different answer entirely.
He defended Piker's 9/11 comments on camera – telling an interviewer the remarks should be kept "in perspective."
Hamawy had been endorsed by Piker, AOC, and Bernie Sanders before the June primary.
Carville Sees a Schism Coming While Socialists Target 2026 and the White House
The DSA has now won more than 35 primaries in the 2026 cycle.
Socialist candidates have toppled veteran incumbents in New York, Colorado, and Michigan.
DSA national leadership is already eyeing the White House in 2028.
But the coalition they are assembling does not include the voters who kept Democrats competitive for seven decades.
None of those voters are working-class black residents of Brownsville who have pulled the lever for Democrats every November for the past fifty years.
Carville spent three decades building coalitions that won presidential elections.
The one socialist Democrats are assembling right now does not reach November.
Socialist Democrats are winning primaries in college towns.
They are losing working-class voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin – the exact states that handed the White House to Donald Trump twice.
Michigan Republicans wasted no time making the Piker connection their opening argument in the general election campaign.
El-Sayed is about to find out.
