New York Magazine Declares Kamala Harris the 2028 Democrat Presidential Frontrunner
New York magazine – not Fox News, not the Washington Examiner – just declared Kamala Harris the Democrat frontrunner for 2028.
The piece’s verdict was blunt: Harris leads every national poll of prospective Democrat candidates by double digits, she owns 99 percent name recognition, and the historical pattern favors whoever holds that position this early.
She dominates with black voters – the demographic that controls the Democrat primary calendar now that South Carolina votes first.
The same publication that spent years cheerleading the Biden-Harris agenda is now telling its own readers that the woman who already lost once is the most likely Democrat nominee in 2028.
Harris confirmed she is thinking about running again April, telling Rev. Al Sharpton at the National Action Network Convention, "I might. I'm thinking about it."
The former Vice President visited key primary states during her book tour earlier this year to promote her memoir about the 2024 Election.
Democrat Donors Who Funded Harris in 2024 Say She Cannot Win in 2028
The New York magazine piece is loaded with donors and strategists saying they want nothing to do with another Harris campaign.
"I hope she runs," top Democrat strategist Alex Hoffman told the magazine. "Because then she will lose and we will never have to hear from her again. She will never win an election at a national scale. Never."
One top New York-based donor who gave lavishly in 2024 told the magazine Harris has a "much higher threshold to meet" before he writes another check – and flatly said he does not see a path to the White House for her.
A former deputy finance chair for the Democrat Party told the magazine she loves Harris but openly questioned whether donors would line up behind her again after watching $1.2 billion disappear into a losing effort.
These are the people who bankrolled the last campaign – and they are on the record saying they are done.
She is leading the field on name recognition while the donors writing the checks are already shopping for alternatives.
Kamala Harris Reaches Out to Pro-Hamas Activists and AOC Ahead of 2028 Run
Rather than spend the post-2024 period trying to win back the voters who rejected her, Harris is moving in the opposite direction.
She personally called New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani – the socialist who boycotted the Israel Day Parade and vowed to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he sets foot in New York.
A trip to Detroit followed, where Harris sat down face-to-face with Abbas Alawieh, co-founder of the Uncommitted Movement – the organization that emerged from rage at Biden's support for Israel after October 7th and has never condemned Hamas.
AOC got a private meeting in Chicago.
Her memoir, 107 Days, handed Republicans a weapon she cannot take back – Harris wrote that she "pleaded" with Joe Biden to show more sympathy toward Gaza and complained that Biden calling himself a "Zionist" was inadequate.
Harris is chasing the socialist primary energy that Mamdani and AOC have generated to survive a primary she is already leading on paper – and in doing so she is making herself unelectable in a general election all over again.
She ran as a radical in 2020 and dropped out before a single primary vote was cast.
Then she tried to repackage herself as a moderate in 2024 and lost by millions of votes anyway.
Now the liberal media is on record saying she is probably the 2028 nominee – and the people who would fund that campaign are telling anyone who will listen that they already know how the story ends.
