AOC’s Hand-Picked Candidate Attacked the Declaration of Independence Steps From Where It Was Signed

AOC spent months recruiting her next Squad member for Congress.

Now he's headed to Washington with a message that would horrify the Founding Fathers.

He stood at the birthplace of American freedom and told the crowd exactly where this country can go.

The Speech Chris Rabb Gave at the America 250 Anniversary Event in Philadelphia

Chris Rabb won his primary by 15 points and has no Republican opponent in November – he's already a congressman-elect in everything but name.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez personally endorsed him, campaigned with him, and called him the future of her party. The Democratic Socialists of America poured money and manpower into getting him elected.

Rabb delivered the speech at People's Plaza on Independence Mall – steps from where the Declaration was signed – at an event titled "America at 250 — Trump Fascism, Historical Erasure, and the Battle Over Truth."

The Declaration, he said, was "screeds that were very lofty" that "purposely erased indigenous and black peoples." Fascism is "built into the very fabric of this nation." And the American dream, American exceptionalism, and the Protestant work ethic are "myths" that do America "a disservice."

Then he pledged to go to Congress as one of the "unapologetic reparationists."

AOC stood on a stage with him six weeks ago and told Philadelphia voters he represented the future of the Democrat Party.

Chris Rabb on a Radical Agenda

The speech wasn't a slip. It was a platform.

His official campaign positions include abolishing ICE, Medicare for All, universal basic income, guaranteed housing, and publicly-owned grocery stores.

He introduced reparations legislation as a state representative. His Instagram account – which he blamed on a staffer after it became public – shared a post calling the Bondi Beach massacre a Zionist false flag operation.

The Democratic Socialists of America celebrated his primary win with a statement that read: "We will be with Congressman Rabb every step of the way in the fight to abolish ICE, free Palestine and win Medicare for All."

AOC chose him anyway. She showed up in Philadelphia on May 15, took the stage with Rabb, and told the crowd: "If you want to change the Democratic Party, we've got to change the kind of Democrats that get elected."

She's right. This is exactly the kind of Democrat she wants.

Democrat Socialist Calls American Dream and Protestant Work Ethic Myths Built on Fascism

Rabb called America fascistic while standing in Philadelphia – the city where the Declaration he just denounced was signed 250 years ago.

The Protestant work ethic is a myth, he told the crowd, while running for a Congress that has the longest unbroken democratic tradition in human history.

The Founders built fascism into the fabric of the nation – the same nation that crossed the Atlantic twice to crush actual fascism, lost hundreds of thousands of men doing it, and rebuilt the continent of Europe afterward.

Law professor Jonathan Turley said: "The claim that fascism is a system 'built into the very fabric of this nation' is absurd and demagogic. This nation defeated fascism and remains the oldest and most successful republic in history."

Rabb's answer to 250 years of the most durable constitutional republic on Earth is to call it a beast that needs to be killed.

And come January, he'll be casting votes in the United States House of Representatives.

AOC Built the Squad and Chris Rabb Is the Newest Member Coming to Congress in 2026

AOC runs the same play every cycle – find the most radical candidate in the most Democratic districts in the country, throw her endorsement behind him, and raise small-dollar money from a national donor base. Ilhan Omar. Rashida Tlaib. Now Chris Rabb.

Only 24% of Democrats say the Fourth of July is a day to celebrate America, according to a June 2026 Reuters/Ipsos poll. Rabb isn't an outlier. He's the logical conclusion of a party that has spent years telling itself that America is the problem.

John Adams predicted Independence Day would be celebrated "with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations." He wrote those words in July 1776, before the war was won, before the Constitution existed, before anyone knew if the republic would survive.

Two hundred fifty years later, AOC's pick for Congress stood on Independence Mall and called the whole American project a beast that needs to be killed.

They're not hiding what they believe anymore.
