American special forces pulled off one of the most daring rescues in military history – deep inside Iran, under fire, against the clock.
The moment Pete Hegseth stepped to the podium to describe it, MS Now had a live on-air meltdown over one phrase he used.
What an MS Now host did to embarrass himself tells you everything about why Democrats keep losing.
The F-15 Iran Rescue That Hegseth Called an Easter Miracle
An F-15E Strike Eagle went down over southwestern Iran on April 3.
Both crew members ejected into hostile territory with hundreds of IRGC soldiers racing to capture them.
The pilot was pulled out within hours.
The colonel spent 48 hours evading capture in the Zagros Mountains while SEAL Team Six fought through Iranian forces to reach him.
They got him out – wounded but alive – without losing a single American life.
At the White House podium, Hegseth described what happened: "Shot down on a Friday – Good Friday. Hidden in a cave, a crevice, all of Saturday. And rescued on Sunday. Flown out of Iran as the sun was rising on Easter Sunday. A pilot reborn. All home and accounted for. A nation rejoicing. God is good."
"We leave no man behind."
It was one of the most dangerous rescue missions in American history – and the military pulled it off.
Lawrence ODonnell Calls Leave No Man Behind Outdated and Sexist
Rescuing a downed American colonel should have been a cause for celebration – but Hegseth using the common military saying "we leave no man behind" prompted a woke meltdown.
MS Now host Lawrence O'Donnell went on the air raged at Hegseth’s language.
"That is, of course, the old school version of the idea back when only men flew American military planes," O'Donnell told his audience.
He praised Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine for using "no one left behind" instead – the politically correct version Hegseth apparently missed.
"The general knows, unlike Pete Hegseth, that that could have been a woman they were trying to rescue," O'Donnell said.
Then he pivoted to relitigating World War II POWs, John McCain's captivity in Vietnam, and Trump's "I like people who weren't captured" line from 2015.
The Republican National Committee responded on X: "Btw what is a woman, @Lawrence?"
NewsNation's Katie Pavlich was more direct: "What an imbecile. Any woman stuck behind enemy lines would not give a [expletive] about gender."
Why Democrats Keep Losing Black Hispanic and Young Voters
O'Donnell wasn't talking to America.
He was talking to the 601,000 viewers still watching MSNBC – down 55 percent since Election Day – while Fox News captured 70 percent of the cable news audience.
The Democrat Party's media operation did what it does best: took a moment of genuine American triumph and turned it into a complaint.
U.S. special operators spent 50 hours bringing that colonel home alive.
The CIA ran fake exfiltration routes in three directions to scatter Iranian forces hunting him.
Two MC-130s were deliberately destroyed rather than left for Iran to capture.
Lawrence O'Donnell's contribution to the moment: should we say "no man" or "no one"?
This is exactly the kind of woke garbage that collapsed the Democrat Party's coalition in 2024.
Black voters shifted toward Trump by double digits.
Hispanic voters – a demographic Democrats treated as a permanent lock – moved to Trump by the largest margin since Nixon.
Young voters Democrats spent years recruiting broke for Trump in numbers that stunned the party's own strategists.
They didn't leave because of tax policy.
They left because of a party so obsessed with policing language that it can't celebrate a military rescue without stopping to complain about the words used.
Democrats are more concerned about gender neutral language and pronouns than the safe return home of a brave war fighter.
Normal Americans – including the women serving in uniform – understand that "we leave no man behind" means exactly what it has always meant: nobody gets left.
Every veteran knows it.
Every Gold Star family knows it.
The only people who don't know it are the ones so deep in left-wing politics that they can't hear a phrase honoring American warriors without turning it into a grievance.
Pete Hegseth brought two people home from Iran.
Lawrence O'Donnell ranted about gender neutral language.
That's the Democrat Party in 2026.
