Democrats are still trying to come to grips with the results of the 2024 election.

It’s a tough pill to swallow.

And now a key Democrat admitted a scary fact about why Kamala Harris lost.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith says Trump won because he was more normal than Kamala

ESPN host and prominent Democrat Stephen A. Smith said on Bill Maher’s HBO show the party didn’t have to look far to see why Donald Trump routed Kamala Harris on November 5.

Smith said voters took stock of the two candidates, ignored the lawfare, and realized Trump was the normal one.

“The man was impeached twice. He was convicted on 34 felony counts,” Smith stated. “And the American people still said, ‘He’s closer to normal than what we see on the Left.”

Smith said Democrats came across as woke fanatics who want to reorder all of American life to accommodate transgenders, a community of people who make up less than one percent of the population.

“He’s closer to normal. Why? Because something that pertains when you talk about the transgender community, for example, when you’re talking about the issues that pertain to less than 1% of the population,” Smith stated.

Smith said the Democrat Party’s defense of men in women’s sports, men in women’s locker rooms, and the recruiting of children into transgenderism was just too plain weird for voters to stomach.

A recent New York Times poll confirmed Smith’s suspicion as it found nearly 80 percent of Americans think society went too far in accommodating transgenders.

“The Democratic Party came across as if that was a priority, more so than the other issues. And so he comes into office now you’re talking about, you know, you know, childbirth, citizenship and what have you. He knows that’s not going to pass the mustard. But he knows that he made that promise,” Smith added.

Smith also said Trump’s signing a flurry of 300 executive orders in his first week in office gave the American people confidence that he was following through on his campaign promises.

“So when he shows up week one on Capitol Hill, he says this is what we’re going to do through an executive order, even though it’s going to be shot down through the courts and what have you,” Smith added.

Smith compared this to Biden and Kamala who failed at their central campaign promise of the 2020 election, which was to restore normalcy to America.

“He said, ‘I kept my promise.’ A lot of other things that he’s going to point to that he’s going to try to do. ‘I kept my promise.’ Then you turn around and you look at the left and you say, what promises did you keep? Now, you might know the answer to that. I’m certainly not questioning your knowledge about that at all,” Smith continued.

Smith said voters could look at Kamala and see she didn’t help restore normalcy to America when she supported lunatic proposals like taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for prisoners, which made it easy to vote for Donald Trump.

“What I’m saying is what resonated with the voter? What voter out there can look at the Democratic Party at this moment in time and say, there’s a voice for us, somebody that speaks for us, that goes up on Capitol Hill and fights the fights that we want them fighting on our behalf. They didn’t do that. And that’s why their behinds are home and that man is back in the White House,” Smith concluded.
