Kamala Harris is trying to pretend that she was never one half of the Biden-Harris regime.

But she can’t hide from her record forever.

And Kamala Harris hit Americans with one nasty surprise that will cost her big time.

Electric bills soar under the Biden-Harris regime

President Joe Biden has made ramming through as many Green New Deal policies as possible the top political priority for his regime.

And Vice President Kamala Harris was the reason he was able to pass more than $1 TRILLION worth of spending on their extreme climate change agenda.

She was the tie-breaking vote in the 50-50 Senate for the first two years of the Biden Presidency.

Unreliable and expensive green energy has been the big winner of the Biden-Harris regime, while working-class taxpayers have been the big losers.

And that’s costing hitting inflation weary Americans in the wallet as electric bills skyrocket.

Bureau of Labor Statistics data found that the cost of electricity has increased nearly 30% since January 2021.

That’s more than double the rate of inflation over that time period.

Electricity prices rose only 5% over the seven years before the Biden-Harris regime took power.

And they’re still outpacing the rate of inflation.

The problem is only going to get worse, according to energy experts.

Green energy causing electrical rates to skyrocket

Electricity Transmission Competition Coalition Chair Paul Cicio told Fox Business that electrical rates “are going to continue to escalate at a faster and faster pace.”

Utility companies are having to ramp up spending on expensive new transmission lines with the increase in wind and solar power to bring them onto the electrical grid.

But Biden’s Federal Energy Regulatory Commission doesn’t allow for competitive bidding to build new transmission lines.

“The high costs that we’ve been experiencing are monopoly utilities building transmission lines without having to bid them out,” Cicio said.

That cost is being passed on to consumers in the form of higher electric bills.

“We have already seen the escalation of transmission costs having an impact, and it’s going to just continue to spiral higher and higher,” Cicio said. “In building these transmission lines, which has escalated the cost of electricity, there hasn’t been competition.”

The $1 trillion Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) – a grab bag of green energy giveaways – passed in 2022 with the tie-breaking vote of Harris is also fueling the rise in electrical rates.

“In that law, Joe Biden and his supporters celebrated the passage of the largest green energy slush fund in history and all it is delivering are higher prices across the board,” Power the Future founder Daniel Turner explained.

Reliable coal and natural gas-fired power plants are being replaced by wind and solar energy sources that are being propped with federal tax credits from the IRA.

The sun doesn’t always shine, and the wind doesn’t always blow, so these green energy sources only provide sporadic power.

Having a reliable source of backup power, like natural gas, adds an additional cost.

California – which has gone all-in on green energy – saw the cost of residential electric bills increase by 170% from 2020 to 2024.

Americans are stuck with soaring power bills from the Biden-Harris regime’s green energy scheme.
