The RINO establishment has been one of the biggest critics of Tulsi Gabbard.

She’s going to have to win some of them over to get confirmed by the Senate.

And Tulsi Gabbard just received a big boost from the Deep State she never saw coming.

Former CIA official gives Gabbard a surprising endorsement

President-elect Donald Trump nominated former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) to serve as his Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

Gabbard was one of Trump’s top surrogates on the campaign trail during the election cycle.

But she’s faced heavy skepticism from Democrats and the RINO establishment since she switched parties to join the GOP largely because of her outspoken opposition to endless foreign wars.

Gabbard’s nomination for DNI is facing heavy pushback from the Deep State and establishment because she wants to be a change agent who will reform rogue intelligence agencies.

She got an unexpected boost for her nomination in the pages of the National Review, one of the leading publications of the RINO establishment.

Former CIA Chief of Counterterrorism Bernard Hudson wrote a piece arguing that she would be a good pick for DNI.

“She has the right experience, temperament, and professional integrity to restore faith in America’s intelligence community,” Hudson wrote.

Hudson led the CIA’s counterterrorism unit during the height of the Global War on Terrorism.

Gabbard is the target of relentless attacks in the media that falsely claim she’s a “Russian agent” and a traitor for meeting with former Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad in 2017.

Hudson argued that the recent fall of Assad to Islamic terror groups connected to Al Qaeda and ISIS is “just the sort of outcome that concerned [Gabbard] in 2017.”

Gabbard and Trump have called for the United States to stay out of the internal turmoil in Syria.

Hudson pointed out that Gabbard has been a soldier with the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves for more than 20 years.

“She has also worn her country’s uniform for over two decades in the U.S. Army, with a combat deployment to Iraq,” Hudson stated. “As a soldier, she knows both the importance of patriotism and the cost that all military interventions inevitably require.”

Her desire to be cautious about American military interventions abroad was informed by her military service and experience deploying in the Iraq War.

“She has the right experience, temperament, and professional integrity to restore faith in America’s intelligence community,” Hudson said.

Hudson argued that she was someone who “could go a long way toward reestablishing credibility with Americans.”

The former CIA official noted that the intelligence agencies burned their credibility with the public after “flimsy accusations” against Trump of being a Russian agent and other “spectacularly wrong calls.”

Hudson made one of the strongest cases yet for Gabbard to reform the intelligence community.

Trump previously praised her as someone who could carry out his America First foreign policy.

“I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength,” Trump said in November.

Tulsi Gabbard will have to overcome the Deep State’s opposition to be confirmed next year.
