No illegal alien is safe when the Trump administration is back
President-elect Donald Trump named former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan to serve as his Border Czar.
Homan can get to work right away once Trump takes office because his position doesn’t require Senate confirmation.
Trump was clear on the campaign trail that his goal was to run the largest mass deportation campaign in American history and send every illegal alien back.
Homan is going to be overseeing that campaign.
Former President Barack Obama gave Homan a Presidential Rank Award for his work as the executive associate director of enforcement and removal operations for ICE in 2015.
The Washington Post wrote an article about him that he reportedly keeps framed in his office.
“Thomas Homan deports people. And he’s really good at it,” The Washington Post reported in 2015.
He broke down what his strategy to deport illegal aliens under Trump would be during an appearance on Fox News.
The first targets would be violent criminals and terrorists who illegally immigrated into the country.
Democrat Governors and Mayors who’ve vowed to fight Trump’s deportation plan would be put in the tough spot of defending criminal illegal aliens.
“Out of the gate, we’re concentrating on public safety threats and national security threats,” Homan said. “What politician, whether you’re a mayor or governor, is saying, ‘No, I want public safety threats to remain in my community’? I mean, give me a break.”
Democrat resistance to Trump will backfire
Homan explained that when Democrat Governors and Mayors create sanctuary jurisdictions that release violent criminal illegal aliens back onto the streets.
ICE agents will have to go into these areas to get the criminals, but they’ll also encounter other illegal aliens they weren’t expecting to find who will end up getting deported.
The Trump Border Czar warned that mass amnesty for illegal aliens would only exacerbate the border crisis.
“This country is showing over and over again that if you don’t have consequences, they’re going to keep coming,” Homan stated. “Amnesty means millions of them are going to come saying, ‘look, I can cross the border illegally, I can lose my case in front of an immigration judge, and I still get to stay.’”
Homan said the law is clear that entering the country illegally is a crime that needs to be enforced.
“The law is clear. We’ll give you a due process,” Homan explained. “You can have your day in court, but when you’re ordered removed, you’re going to leave and we’re going to make you leave.”
“It’s not okay to cross this border. It’s a crime,” Homan continued. “Every illegal alien that crossed that border committed a crime, and it’s not okay for you to be in this country illegally. I don’t go 200 miles an hour to come to this interview tonight because I don’t get a ticket. I don’t lie on my taxes because I don’t want to get tax evasion. Well, it’s not okay to be in this country illegally. So if you’re in the country illegally, you got a problem.”
The tide is turning in the immigration crisis created by the Biden-Harris regime when Donald Trump is inaugurated next year.
