Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift has long been the talk of the pop culture gossip mill.

Now the NFL is starting to weigh in on their relationship.

And Travis Kelce was stunned when a bitter rival’s coach gave him this advice on Taylor Swift.

Rival coach says Kelce should retire and start a family

The Baltimore Ravens have emerged as one of the  Kansas City Chiefs’ main rivals in the AFC.

Last season, the Chiefs traveled on the road to Baltimore for the AFC Championship game and defeated the Ravens 17-10 to advance to the Super Bowl.

Things got chippy with the teams before the game when Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce acted like a child by preventing Ravens Kicker Justin Tucker from kicking from the Chief’s side of the field, as is typical for every NFL kicker, including his own.

Kelce threw Tucker’s helmet and practice balls as if he were a toddler throwing a tantrum because he didn’t want to share his toys.

The Chiefs and Ravens are set to kick off this NFL season with a nationally televised Thursday night game on September 5 from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

And during an interview with US Weekly, Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh decided to have a little fun when he was asked to weigh in on Kelce’s relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.

“I hope they get married. I hope they have a bunch of kids,” Harbaugh said. “Heck, maybe he’ll get ready to retire here pretty soon to pursue that family aspect of his life. I would encourage that.”

The Ravens coach said that all joking aside, he was “rooting for them” to make it, calling their relationship “the coolest thing ever.”

He said that because of his daughter, he’s heard some of Swift’s music.

“I couldn’t say I’m a Taylor Swift fan because I don’t know enough of the songs, but the songs I’ve heard from my daughter over the years, I like ‘em,” Harbaugh stated. “I think they’re excellent. I think she’s so talented. When you watch her perform, oh my god, it’s sick how talented she is.”

Like Kelce’s Chiefs teammate Harrison Butker, who has also encouraged the couple to get married, Harbaugh is a devout Catholic.

“I hope they get married and start a family,” Butker told EWTN News in Depth.

Will Swift and Kelce tie the knot?

Rumors swirled that Kelce was going to propose to Swift after the Super Bowl in February, with some Vegas oddsmakers setting gambling odds for a potential proposal.

But the Big Game came and went without a proposal.

A source close to the couple told US Weekly that while they may be smitten with each other, a proposal isn’t coming any time soon.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon. It’s not even on his radar,” the source said. “Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

Another source told Entertainment Tonight the opposite about the celebrity couple.

“Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later,” the source said. “They make a great match, and there’s no question about that.”

The world will just have to wait and see what direction the relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift takes.
