Three Key Takeaways:

  • Tom Homan fiercely defended President Trump’s border policies during a heated exchange with liberal media, emphasizing the success of Trump’s approach in reducing illegal border crossings by 96%.
  • Homan pointed to the removal of gang members like those from Tren de Aragua as evidence that Trump’s tough immigration enforcement strategy is working, in stark contrast to the Biden administration’s lax policies.
  • The debate highlighted the impact of judicial overreach and liberal attempts to block enforcement, while showcasing how Trump’s “America First” policies have made significant strides in securing the border and combating transnational crime.

Tom Homan left liberal media stunned with his fierce defense of President Trump’s border strategy.

The mainstream media doesn’t want to admit Trump’s border strategy is working.

And Tom Homan just destroyed liberal media in a heated exchange about Trump’s border policy.

Border Czar defends deportation strategy

President Donald Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan isn’t backing down from defending the administration’s tough approach to immigration enforcement.

In a contentious appearance on ABC’s This Week, Homan stood his ground when confronted about the administration’s deportation policies, especially regarding gang members.

“Due process? Where was Laken Riley’s due process?” Homan fired back at host Jonathan Karl. “Where were all these young women that were killed and raped by members of TdA? Where was their due process?”

The exchange highlighted the stark difference between the Trump administration’s border enforcement approach and the previous administration’s policies.

Homan’s appearance comes as Department of Homeland Security data shows illegal border crossings have plummeted by a staggering 96% since President Trump’s policies took effect.

The administration’s January executive order designating the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang as a terrorist organization has already led to the removal of 260 confirmed TdA members, who were transported to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center.

“We’re actually using the laws on the books to enforce immigration laws and secure the border at the highest level it’s ever been,” Homan explained. “That’s the difference between the Trump Administration and the Biden Administration.”

Liberals rush to block enforcement

While the Trump administration works to secure the border, liberal judges have attempted to throw roadblocks in their way.

Obama appointee Judge James Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order against some of the deportation efforts, a move President Trump condemned as judicial overreach.

When pressed about verification procedures for those being deported, Homan didn’t mince words.

“Every Venezuelan migrant on that flight was a TdA member based on numerous criminal investigations, intelligence reports, and extensive work by ICE officers,” Homan stated.

Numbers tell the story

The contrast between the current and previous administrations couldn’t be clearer when looking at the numbers.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem reports daily border apprehensions have dropped to just 200 – the lowest in 15 years.

ICE officers have removed 40,000 criminal aliens in just six weeks – more than the previous administration managed in an entire year.

“The Biden Administration not only ignored the law, they violated it,” Homan stated, referencing court decisions that found Biden’s catch-and-release policies in direct violation of federal immigration statutes.

America First policies showing results

The Trump administration’s enforcement strategy isn’t just working – it’s exceeding all expectations.

By utilizing the historic Aliens Enemies Act of 1798 combined with modern law enforcement techniques, the administration has given America the upper hand against transnational criminal organizations.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics showed that millions of illegal aliens flooded across the southern border during the previous administration. Communities were overwhelmed. Law enforcement was handcuffed. American citizens paid the price.

But now, with a President committed to putting America First, the tide has turned.
