Democrats and their media allies are frantically attempting to force their environmental extremist agenda on working-class Americans.

But their efforts may be for naught.

And now this major corporation made one surprising decision that officially put Democrats’ environmental extremist nightmare on life support.

Ford tells its dealerships to stop investing in electric vehicle upgrades for sales

Ford Motor Company executives have long boasted that the automaker would be one of the leaders in the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).

President Joe Biden visited a Ford facility in Dearborn, Michigan in 2021 as he began his efforts to force Democrats’ environmental extremist agenda on the country through their EV mandates.

He took the Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck for a test drive, which made its debut that year.

“The future of the auto industry is electric,” Biden said at the time. “There’s no turning back.”

Ford worked with the Biden White House on its electrification plans and came out in favor of strict tailpipe emission standards.

Ford CEO Jim Farley boasted about Ford’s commitment to electric vehicles after an August 2021 White House agreement.

“Ford is on an ambitious trajectory to lead the electrification revolution — from being the only full-line American automaker to side with California in favor of stricter greenhouse gas emissions, to electrifying our most iconic and popular vehicles, like the F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit,” Farley said at the time. “We’re counting on strong cooperation among the Biden Administration, Congress, and state and local governments, and are doing our part by developing high-quality, zero-emission vehicles that customers want.”

The Detroit automaker set a goal of having electric vehicles account for half of its sales by 2030.

And the Biden regime rewarded Ford’s fealty to his climate change agenda by funneling $10 billion in taxpayer-funded subsidies to build battery plants in Kentucky and Tennessee for the multi-billion dollar company.

Ford’s Bidenmobile division is in shambles

Ford made a big bet that American consumers would far prefer electric versions of its most popular models, like the F-150 and the Mustang, rather than another cookie-cutter EV.

It turned out that customers just didn’t want to buy electric vehicles.

This year, Ford has lost more than $130,000 on every EV they’ve sold, and the company’s EV division lost over $1 billion during the first quarter.

The electric transition caused a massive upheaval for Ford’s nationwide network of dealerships.

Ford dealers had to spend more than one million dollars on installing charging stations and other equipment to be certified to sell electric vehicles.

Dealers were up in arms at having to make such a large investment for vehicles that weren’t moving.

Now, in a bid to juice electric vehicle sales, Ford is dropping the requirement that dealerships make costly upgrades to be able to sell them.

Dealers will have to install two charging stations that cost about $10,000.

“The growth has slowed down and we’re getting into the tough innings,” Ford’s electric division COO Marin Gjaja said.

Gjaja added the move will “help us grow our sales.”

Ford predicted that it would lose $5.5 billion on its electric division this year.

The painful reality of electric vehicles is beginning to set in for automakers.
