Most people agree that criminals normally don’t care about the victims whose lives they affect.

Sadly, some extremely serious crimes are so horrific that you might think the criminal would feel some type of remorse.

But the sickening display this deranged Ohio woman put on after being charged with murdering a toddler will make your blood boil.

The face of evil

Bionca Ellis, 32, has been charged with killing 3-year-old Julian Wood in an Ohio grocery store parking lot.

However, the cold-blooded killer smirked and giggled throughout a court appearance as the Judge read the horrifying charges being brought against her.

The display occurred a week after she allegedly stabbed the innocent child to death and wounded his mother, Margot Wood, 38.

The crime took place outside of a Giant Eagle store in North Olmsted, which is near Cleveland, Ohio, and authorities have called the horrific attack “a random act of violence.”

Now, Ellis faces ten criminal counts, including two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

The Judge said that she could possibly face the death penalty if she is convicted.

As she appeared in court with her hands cuffed behind her back, Ellis looked like she was trying to hide a smirk before smiling several times as the charges were read.

The smirking criminal can be seen in footage from WEWS, and it also shows her whispering while answering questions in court.

She hung her head initially as she was arraigned via video conference, but her attitude quickly changed.

Ellis giggled and replied, “Si,” when Judge Nancy Russo asked her if she planned to plead not guilty to the charges against her.

News 5 Cleveland reported that she eventually said, “Yes” after the frustrated Judge pushed her for the answer.

Before the judge determined her bail, Julian’s father spoke and said that Ellis “took everything from us.”

“There’s nothing that could ever replace my son,” Julian’s father, Jared Wood, said. “Just do whatever you can to keep this monster behind bars.”

Ultimately, Judge Russo set bail at the maximum amount of $5 million, and Ellis will remain in custody.

A horrific crime

Ellis was arrested shortly after 3 P.M., not long after she’d attacked Julian and Margot Wood, according to North Olmsted police.

According to WEWS, the officers saw her holding a knife when she was taken into custody.

On a GoFundMe page, loved ones wrote, “While Margot was opening the trunk of her car to put groceries away the woman viciously attacked and stabbed both Margot and Julian.”

The page also noted that the victims did not know the suspect.

Little Julian is remembered as being a “sweet little boy” who loved his baby sister and enjoyed wrestling with his older brother.

The fundraiser said, “Our family is overwhelmed with sadness… and overwhelmed with the loving support the community has already provided us.”

They added that it would be “an incredibly long journey to recovery, but truthfully we will never recover.”
