Howdy there, friends and patriots! Patriotic Pete here, coming to you from my front porch in beautiful Tennessee, where the bourbon is smooth, the Bible is close, and the American flag flies high. Each week, I’ll be answering your questions about navigating this wild and wonderful country we call home. So pour yourself two fingers of the good stuff (or sweet tea if that’s more your speed), and let’s get to some straight talk!
Life throws curveballs at all of us. Sometimes they come fast as a Fourth of July fastball, and sometimes they sneak up slower than molasses in January. Either way, I’m here every Sunday afternoon to help you swing at whatever life’s pitching your way.
I was raised in the heartland where we learned three important things: love God, love your country, and always lend a helping hand to your neighbor. It’s not complicated, folks. The good Lord gave us a roadmap in His Word, our Founding Fathers gave us the greatest nation on Earth, and my grandpappy taught me enough common sense to fill a pickup truck.
What makes my advice different? Well, I ain’t some city slicker with fancy degrees telling you how to live. I’m just a regular American who’s weathered some storms, celebrated some victories, and learned a thing or two along the way. I believe in traditional values, the power of prayer, and that this great nation of ours is worth fighting for every single day.
Each week, I tackle your questions about:

- Finding your way back to faith;

- Being a patriot in everyday life.
My readers say my advice hits harder than Tennessee whiskey and goes down smoother than Sunday gravy. I don’t sugarcoat the truth, but I always serve it with a side of hope because that’s what we Americans do – we face challenges head-on and come out stronger on the other side.
President Trump once said that Americans don’t run from challenges – we meet them. That’s what Straight Talk is all about. In a world gone sideways, sometimes you need someone to shoot straight with you, someone who remembers what made America great in the first place.
